Wir waren sehr enttäuscht- Preis -Leistung stimmt so gar nicht ...
Pros:

Die Lage war extrem schön u der Ausblick aus unseren Fenster auf dem Golfplatz war phänomenal .
Die Spa- Behandlung ( Massage ) war klasse u sehr entspannend.
Der angrenzende Garten war ein Traum .

Cons:

Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen ... Empfang war sehr freundlich aber der Service ließ zu Wünschen übrig - sowohl im Restaurant ( Tische nicht schön sauber u das Geschirr wurde nicht zwischendurch abgeräumt )
Draußen saß man sehr lange bis mal eine Bedienung kam .
Das Schwimmbad war sehr enttäuschend- auch in die Jahre gekommen u zum schwimmen ungeeignet da es zu flach war .

Pros:

Die Lage des Hotels ist phänomenal. Der Park lädt zum Verweilen ein. Unser Zimmer war auf einem sehr guten Standart renoviert, mit einem Aufenthaltsraum. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, vor allem die Frauen.

Cons:

Das Zimmer war beim Eintriitt überhitzt, da unter dem Dach und alle Fenster geschlossen waren.
Wir hätten in einem 4Stern-Hotel an der Réception eine freunlichere Verabschiedung erwartet.

Very disappointing
Pros:

Staff were friendly

Cons:

Room, while spacious and well decorated, was not cleaned to a high standard (thick dust on tops of mirror and TV, coffee marks on surface near tea/coffee facilities, grime and dirt in shower.) Lots of wear and tear in communal areas (including a bucket with dirty/stagnant water in the hallway, having collected water from leaky roof and a facecloth duscarded in it). Room too hot (windows closed) or too cold (windows open). Horrible smell from kitchen with windows open (and quite pungent when windows closed.) Breakfast at £20 per person was too expensive for what was on offer. Overall, VERY disappointing.

Great place to unwind.
Pros:

Lovely grounds, comfortable rooms and beds. Lovely pool and hot tub. Ate in the restaurant which was lovely.

Wonderful Hotel let down by poor food
Pros:

the room was very comfortable and quite with good views over the grounds. the spa has always been the highlight of our visits and this time did not disappoint, especially with the new sauna.

Cons:

We had dinner on the first night and were very disappointed. Over the years we have been visiting the hotel, the evening meals have been lovely, now the menu has been simplified and is similar to an average pub. One of our meals was particular poor and didn't come as described. Because of this we cancelled our meal for the following evening. Breakfast was also disappointing, food was lukewarm and dry. We went elsewhere the following morning for our breakfast which was a shame as we have enjoyed the food in the past.

Unfortunately completly spoilt due to the smoke smell in our room.
Pros:

The location is beautiful and relaxing. The staff are friendly and efficient. Our room was spaceous but faced the biomass incinerator and the parking. Consequently, the smoke permeated the room and at times it was really bad. The hotel gave us a discount on our check out. However, I would recommend that Room 37 should not be used at all due to the ongoing smoke issue from the biomass incinerator. Apart from this the hotel is great.

Pros:

Location was beautiful, room was lovely. Nice hot shower and very comfortable bed. Food was excellent and staff were all lovely and helpful. Highly recommend.
