I was a late check in, but still was seen too promptly, politely, and effectively.
Nice room.
Room had already been aired due to high temperatures.
Complimentary toiletries a nice and helpful touch.
There had been something split on the carpet near the table that wasn't properly cleaned up.
The shower has evidence of black mould around the base.
The water in the shower was draining very slowly so I was stood in a pool of water after finishing the shower.

Staff were really helpful and friendly, breakfast was nice and value for money.
Loads of noise from parties until late, was moved room then in the second room had a broken bed!

Reasonable price for one night, basic but adequate for one night
Only one hand towel and one bath towel in a double room, and as we only got to the room after midnight too late to bother to go back down and get more. Speaking to other guests we knew who were staying said it was the same on their room.
Lovely spot ideal price
We was pleasantly surprised at Hockley House as I wasn't sure what to expect as the cost was amazing. The Hotel itself is lovely, clean, rooms easy to find, car park huge, bar well stocked, staff were all fabulous. Check-in was super easy. We stayed when the weather was very hot, so unfortunately the room was sooooooo hot! However, I asked reception if they had a fan and they found me one within 10 minutes! Perfect. : )
We had breakfast the next day and that was amazing. Small menu but enough to chose from. Again the service was great. I'd definitely recommend.
Hot room - but that wasn't the Hotel's fault. They had pulled the blinds down and windows were open. Other than putting in aircon, they did all they could.
