The room itself was great but it was above a very noisy pub and for a Wednesday night I wasn't expecting it all to go on until midnight . Music , quiz night and someone on a microphone for what felt like an eternity ( it does state on the advert that it can be noisy on a fri & sat until midnight) sadly to say it was a very short broken nights sleep after a 4 hour drive as we were up early to leave early for the remaining 3 hours drive ahead . I has asked for a quiet room. I guess they don't have any as this room was above the pubs front door on the main road
The bedroom door was the only door to the outside world as the front door downstairs was wedged open all night . The pub itself was very noisy and the room was also at the front of the property on a busy main road .
I booked this for a friend and his daughter and although being a little noise from pub below and it was a Friday he said room was clean tidy and noise was away by 12 and not to loud could hear the TV no.problem and said would book again.his daughter liked it to being only 12 thats a good compliment
Slight noise but room was good value so wasn't bothered by limited music
Fantastic staff, comfortable room and excellent breakfast, Thank you

The bedding was clean, check in was fast. Although you had to go over the busy road to collect the key.
The broken window in the bathroom, literally a hole tapped up and a breeze coming through. no TV remote, shower i would of needed to wash getting out of it
The hospitality was great and location great
Room was dirty tv did have a remote and people hanging about in the corridors at night
No breakfast
The bed was unmade
Comfortable beds. Big bathroom. Hot, powerful shower. Wifi worked well. The room was basic, but represented excellent value for money. Being above a pub didn't affect me at all. Get the keys from the Indian restaurant over the road. I was travelling by motorbike and was able to park by the side of the pub fairly hidden from the road. I had the option to have parked in the Indian restaurant car park.
For that price, nothing!
Close to the Racecourse
Too noisy, needs a bit of cleanliness
Not much. The fella behind the bar was really nice and the staff in the restaurant where you check in were also really helpful.
It was clean mostly apart from the tiles in the shower.
There was REALLY loud karaoke in the bar downstairs that went on till midnight. The walls were paper thin.
It was a bit of a pain to get the keys and park over the busy road behind the restaurant it would help if they made it clear the parking spaces in front of the restaurant are for staff.
The tiles in the shower were dirty and the blind fell down when we tried to close it. The decor was pretty awful.
Clean room good size
The music coming from the bar below from 7pm till 00 45 am was so loud.was unable to sleep and the main door to the bar slammed every time some one came in or out my bed shook.i was in room 3
It was one of the few affordable places to stay .Didn't realise the commonwealth games were on at the time.
Didn't realise that it was a pub with a Karaoke night scheduled .Had to use the Indian restaurant across the road to get access to room rather from the pub itself
The room was grubby needing a deep clean, it needs refurbishment including the holes on the stairs carpet
The pub underneath was shut no could not get a drink or something to eat
Budget accommodation that delivered what was expected, plus a little extra that we didn't expect [see What didn't you like]. The rooms were generously sized and the beds comfortable. We got what we paid for.
The accommodation is right by a busy main road, so some intrusive traffic noise. It's also above a pub, which wasn't a problem until the karaoke started later in the evening, which went on until well after midnight and the singers weren't very good! So, if you're staying on a weekend, beware!
