Beautiful and convenient in Kyoto.
Pros:

Beautiful decor. It is well located. Easy walks to the Higashiyama area and along the river. Great eating locations nearby. An easy taxi ride from the Kyoto Station if you don't want to lug your suitcases on public transport. There was a lovely selection of freebies in the Reception lounge including tea, coffee, snacks, face masks, sunscreen saches, and origami paper with instructions. Our room was very comfortable.

Cons:

There weren't any USB ports in our room, but we were able to borrow an adaptor from Reception.

Perfect location
Pros:

Great location - perfect for exploring Gion. So glad we chose this location in Kyoto. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Loved the little bar and the staff for pre dinner drinks in the evening.

Cons:

Rooms are small but expected for such a great location.

Pros:

The hotel is in an excellent position, a few meters from the main streets of Gion and the Kamo river, and very close to Nishiki market and Pontocho alley. I really liked the style, a fine mix between modern and traditional, which is also reflected in the room we had, which featured tatamis and a normal bed. Pola toiletries are a nice touch, I personally love them. Hotel cleanliness is by Japanese standards, great!Breakfast has a wide array of asian style food plus something more western. Attentive staff, and the older bartender was a nice plus. He really made us feel welcomed.

Cons:

Nothing negative to say, maybe the beds in the normal rooms are on the narrow side, but I've experienced worse in the same hotel category in Japan.

Très bon séjour.
Pros:

Établissement au cœur de Gion. Durant le festival c’est un véritable atout.

Cons:

Tout était parfait. Le lit immense mange un peu de place dans la chambre mais sinon tout était très bien.

Could provide more pillows on default. Charges for late checkout. Cash only for bag transport. No mirror in room, only the bathroom

Es war ein außergewöhnlicher Aufenthalt
Pros:

Besonders hervorzuheben ist der außerordentlich freundliche und aufmerksame Service. Zudem konnte man sich jederzeit kostenfrei an Wasser und Kaffee bedienen, was den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht hat. Täglich wurden frische Handtücher sowie Wasser auf dem Zimmer bereitgestellt. Das Frühstücksbuffet überzeugte mit einer großen und abwechslungsreichen Auswahl. Darüber hinaus punktet das Hotel mit seiner zentralen Lage. Ein weiteres schönes Detail war die Vielzahl an hochwertigen Pflegeprodukten, die den Gästen sogar zum Mitnehmen zur Verfügung gestellt wurden.

Lovely modern hotel in great location
Pros:

Probably my favourite hotel out of our whole Japan/South Korea trip. Very modern. Comfortable bed. Good sized bed. Good shower. Nice snack/water/tea/coffee station in the lobby. Good value for money. Was able to do my laundry here. Close to many restaurant and in main area of Kyoto.
