Highly recommend! Comfortable stay in a great location:)
Pros:

Great location in the heart of Gion. The hotel room was modern and clean/comfortable and came equipped with everything we needed- including unlimited free toiletries that guests can help themselves to at the front desk.

The staff were brilliant- friendly and attentive. The spa is great and if you go late at night you might get the whole bath to yourself!

Cons:

Bedrooms were a bit small for 2 people sharing - we didn’t have much space on the floor for our cases! But it wasn’t a huge issue.

Bellissimo hotel nel cuore di Giòn!
Personale gentile, accogliente, sempre attento alle richieste dei clienti. Le stanze sono pulite, belle e quella con il tatami ci ha regalato una boccata di autenticità giapponese. L’onsen è un gioiello raro, pulitissimo. La colazione effettivamente potrebbe essere più variegata, ma comunque c’è tutto il necessario per cominciare splendidamente la giornata. Nella hall ci sono tutti i prodotti da bagno e per la skincare, sempre a disposizione degli ospiti.
Tutti i siti d’interesse sono raggiungibili a piedi, posizione ottima!
Non cercate altrove, prenotate qui e non ve ne pentirete.

Lovely hotel to come back to after exploring Kyoto!
Pros:

Lovely! Has a stylish lounge with pleasant perks like free tea/coffee, recommendations for things to do in Kyoto, etc. The onsen is gorgeous and very clean. Easy to do laundry on site. Room was small but that's to be expected in Japan. Bed was very comfortable. Really enjoyed coming back here after long sightseeing days in Kyoto. Can't beat the location in Gion -- you're exactly where you want to be!

Cons:

Breakfast staff was a little grumpy and we could hear people pulling out breakfast chairs scraping the floor (our room was just underneath). But very minor gripes, our stay was very nice.

if you want a good value in the Gion area, with lots to see walkable.
Pros:

nice breakfast offering, friendly staff, great value and location. on-site laundry available

Cons:

the hotel is showing signs of wear and tear. because the hotel is reducing rates by giving guest more of a self-service experience, the hallways stay in a state of housecleaning for bigger chunks of the day. the windows on the rooms can't be opened. The area is great for seeing the sites, but there is also a lot of tourist foot traffic.

My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing.

After checking out, I realized that I had accidentally left approximately €2,000 in cash in my room. I returned to the hotel about two hours later to retrieve it. By then, the room had already been cleaned, and the money had disappeared.

I immediately informed the hotel staff, but no one was able to explain what had happened or locate the money. The situation was so serious that I had to call the Japanese police and file an official report.

I am leaving Kyoto without having recovered my money, and I am deeply disappointed with how this incident was handled. I understand that guests can accidentally leave belongings behind, but I expected a much higher level of responsibility and assistance in dealing with such a serious situation.

For this reason, I cannot recommend this hotel.

結局、現金は見つからないまま京都を離れることになり、この件に対するホテルの対応には大変失望しています。誰でも忘れ物をしてしまう可能性はありますが、このような重大な問題に対しては、より誠実で責任ある対応を期待していました。

このような経験をしたため、私はこのホテルをおすすめすることはできません
