Full of insects
Pros:

Spacious room. Nice view on the trees from the room. Quiet.

Cons:

We killed around 20 flies before sleeping and it was still not enough. We decided to go sleep as it was an impossible job to kill them all. It would have been nice if they would do some anti-insect spray before our arrival.

The worst thing is that the next day I found out I had around 30 musquito bites all around my body.

It was around 20 degrees during these days. I guess the cleaners left the door wide open and let all insects come inside. It is common sense to not keep the doors wide open in the middle of the forest.

Asking around € 300,- for a room sounds like a crime to me for the above reasons. I am giving it a 5 as I am not a too difficult person, but this one was quite dissapointing coming from someone who has seen 57 countries. Even in the Amazone in the middle of the Jungle I had less insects in my room.

Pros:

Eine Übernachtung vom 8. auf den 9. Juni 2026. Freundlicher Empfang, aufmerksames Personal, großes Zimmer mit Bad, Zimmereinrichtung strahlt das Flair von 1960 aus, Frühstück war o.k.

Cons:

Alles ein bißchen abgewohnt. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis wird dem Standard nicht gerecht.

MUNDIAL cuando estuvimos . Cabañitas madera .
Pros:

Personal muy amable !!! . Salón muy agradable en la 2a planta. Vimos la final del mundial de fútbol en la sala y GANÓ ESPAÑA . Campeones !! Buen recuerdo nos quedará del sitio . Estuvimos con gallegos y islandeses . Todos animando a España . Algunas cabañas reformadas .

Pros:

The location was amazing, it's not far from the town, but private and surrounded by beautiful nature. The room was spacious enough with a good private bathroom and a little terace. It has heated floor which is a plus most of the time. The owner deserves a special thanks since he recommended beautiful sights during check out, and was genuinely friendly.

Cons:

We were there on a hot day (near 20°C) so we were actually too hot, especially during the night, due to the heated floors. The breakfast was good, but could have used more savoury options.

Freundliche Mitarbeiterinnen, Auswahl beim Frühstück, ruhige Lage in der Nähe von Egilstadir, bequeme Betten

Cons:

Die Ausstattung im Cottage ist schon in die Jahre gekommen. Ziemlich staubig in den Ecken, das Badezimmer ist sehr unbequem: sehr eng, keine Ablagen und Hacken, Löcher in den Wänden. Heißes Wasser riecht stark nach Schwefel (haben wir davor in Island so nicht erlebt).
