Minor works to complete the Exeter flood defense scheme will continue outside the property during the autumn/winter of 2019 and 2020 which can involve contractors working in close proximity to the garden/river elevation of the building. The property anticipate there only being a minor impact on the view from the room. Works usually only take place Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 and 18:00.
Please note that Headweir Mill House does not have air conditioning as it is a listed building in a conservation area.
A deposit may be required at the property.

Lovely location, relaxing ambience. Very polite and helpful staff, from the initial greeting at the bar, reception and cleaning staff.
A very minor negative - the wait for food to be delivered to the table after ordering was a little longer than expected.

We liked everything
The Room (5) was lovely overlooking the river with two comfy chairs looking outside. Great breakfast, wonderful location and the staff were all very friendly. Super easy parking.

La struttura si trova in una posizione molto piacevole: le camere sono adiacenti a un pub davvero carino, affacciato sul fiume Exe. Nonostante la vicinanza al pub, in camera non arrivava praticamente alcun rumore, quindi la posizione si è rivelata molto tranquilla. È inoltre possibile fare colazione e mangiare al pub, anche se i prezzi sono piuttosto alti.
La camera era bella, spaziosa e dotata di tutto il necessario per il soggiorno.
Ci sono però alcuni aspetti che potrebbero essere migliorati. La macchina del caffè non funzionava sempre correttamente: inserendo la capsula, a volte usciva soltanto acqua. Abbiamo inoltre trovato della polvere su alcune superfici evidentemente poco utilizzate, come il ventilatore e la zona dedicata alla macchina del caffè e al bollitore. Il ventilatore, in particolare, sembrava non essere stato utilizzato o pulito da diverso tempo.
Il problema principale è stato però il caldo in camera. La finestra della stanza non si poteva aprire e l’unica finestra apribile era quella del bagno. Il ventilatore presente non era sufficiente a rinfrescare l’ambiente.
Nel complesso, una struttura piacevole e con una posizione molto bella, ma con alcuni aspetti legati alla pulizia e soprattutto alla ventilazione delle camere che meriterebbero maggiore attenzione.

We both had a Sunday roast for evening dinner and the meat was dry and the Yorkshire pudding very dry. That was the only downside to our stay.⁹
