The hotel rooms are equipped with under counter fridge, microwave and kettle, ideal making packed lunches etc, downstairs there is a large kitchen with 2 ovens and hob, large Tv we made use of this for eating from the local takeaway, which are only a few metres away and good value. there is also a pub next door.

Summer is quite hot our room can open only 1 window,we need more airs because outside really cool.The fan not helping much.
A good sized room and a great key system so we could leave keys in out own room keysafe. Really useful if we needed to do separate things and not have to find the other one to get in. The room was a bit hot - a fan would have been very welcome. There was a small kettle with tea and coffee supplies for one cup each per day. There was also a fridge, sink and microwave in the room, a TV, bedding, one towel each, washing up facilities and basic crockery and cutlery. There was also a communal kitchen but we didn't need to use it. The location was fairly convenient, but about 10-15 mins walk from the town centre, depending on how tired we were (we were there for a Morris dancing event). The proprietors were lovely and friendly and very helpful. Very responsive with messages and proactive on information. A really good budget hotel.

Staff were friendly and helpful. We were there for the RH&D railway which was right across the street so the location was very good.
It was so hot I could not sleep well at all. I recognize that the heat wave is out of control of the venue but there was nothing (like a fan) available (thankfully we brought our own, which helped). We ended up leaving early and did not stay the last night. We also used the shared lounge; the chairs have seen better days.
Comfy lovely big double bed plenty of pillows, lovely big fan as was very hot end of June. Great to have a fridge in room too! So handy location virtually next door to co-op
