Almayer was a lovely hotel with excellent staff - a great buy for the money!
Pros:

The staff were extremely friendly & helpful. The rooms were very comfortable & clean. The location was terrific & we really liked the Italian restaurant across the alley which was recommended to us by the desk clerk when we arrived. We appreciated having a hot breakfast as part of the room charge. It was delicious & presented nicely.

Cons:

Since our bags were heavy, it would’ve been nice to have an elevator. Also, I managed to get locked in my room the last morning of our stay! The rooms were a little dark & hard to control the temperature.

Great location, great hotel, in a beautiful city!
Pros:

In a great location, the room was clean and lovely with a beautiful view of the water. Breakfast was delicious each day and staff were very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend.

Angenehmer Aufenthalt in einer schönen Stadt
Pros:

Die Lage des Hotel ist optimal. Fussläufig ist die gesamte Altstadt bequem erreichbar. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Cons:

Das Zimmer (Erdgeschoss) war sehr hellhörig und trotz der Beleuchtung sehr dunkel.
