Perfectly suited as a home base for exploring the town and the region

Excellent hostess; very good continental breakfast; well furnished room with plenty of space; easy parking; good value; easy walking access to downtown restaurants, shopping and the amazing Coutances cathedral

Cons:

Some aspects of the property were a little worn and in need of refurbishment, such as the stairway carpet runner. Also caulking around our bathroom sink was coming undone.

Great base to explore Coutances
Pros:

Traditional Logis with welcoming host, functional but ingeniously designed bedroom with very comfortable bed, secure undercover storage for our bikes, good breakfast and only a short walk up into Coutances for a wide variety of restaurants for dinner and fascinating public gardens

Cons:

Although the hotel was well set back from the road, it was a tince noisy first thing (quiet in late evening though)
