Loved it and would stay there again
Pros:

Well located hotel, as it was walking distance to many tourist sites. Very friendly and helpful staff. Ciro was exceptionally helpful with great trip ideas. Francesca was also lovely.

Very nice hotel
Pros:

Lovely hotel. The rooms are small, but comfortable. Wonderful AC. The breakfast was good, it had all the essentials … eggs, several meats, fresh fruit, cereals, and pastries. We liked the locations. Gelato shop about 3 blocks away finished off every day of sightseeing. There’s also a church two blocks away that is stunning inside ( it’s July, and with no AC, about 112’ inside). They staff is great!!

We had a great stay and would stay there again.
Pros:

Centrally located with less than a 10 minute walk to many historic sites. You can walk in any direction and find shopping and restaurants. The air conditioning was easy to adjust and worked very well. There was no night noises outside at all. The hotel was very quiet. The elevator was great. Their included breakfast was delicious.

Cons:

Our bathroom was a little clumsy. It was difficult to get in and out of the tub shower. I would have preferred no bathtub to climb into.

Best location in Rome, amazing restaurants nearby, everything you can imagine is in walking distance.
Pros:

Excellent location, friendly staff, room was very comfortable in the heat of summer with great air conditioning. The rooftop bar was a hidden gem, offering panoramic views of Rome including the Pantheon!

Cons:

Nothing, it was perfecto!

Great hotel to make the most of your Rome visit
Pros:

Location is outstanding. An easy and interesting 20 minute walk to Vatican City and colosseum plus a taxi stand directly across the street. Wide restaurant choices nearby plus two major squares/piazzas within 5 minute walk. Hotel itself is everything you could ask for with well appointed and spacious room ,by Rome standards, nice roof top bar plus great breakfast area and food choices. Staff were all knowledgeable and helpful and arranged our transportation to cruise port. So, if you want to stay in Rome at a very central and convenient location, in a hotel that checks off all the boxes, then stay at the Damaso.

Cons:

Cost. But then it’s Rome.

Lovely Stay in Rome
Pros:

I have so many wonderful things to say about Hotel Damaso and would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Rome.

The staff was absolutely lovely, the breakfast was delicious, the location couldn’t be better, and the hotel itself has so much charm and character. Be sure to visit the little rooftop terrace! I believe it opens as a bar later in the day. I never made it up there in the evening, but I loved taking my coffee up in the early morning and enjoying the beautiful views over Rome.

We spent a few days in Rome at both the beginning and end of our trip to Italy. We stayed at Hotel Damaso at the beginning, and at the end we stayed at a more modern, upscale hotel that cost nearly twice as much. Given the choice, I would choose Hotel Damaso again, hands down.
