Grand Orchid Hotel Yogyakarta

The staff was great, friendly and helpfull, the food was delicious, the room was spacious clean and I like the room surprise. Specal thanks to bu Sally GM, Pak Hafidz sales, Chef Edi, FB manager and team to make my wife 50th birthday pool party was memorable. All Satoria hotel staff was superb. Thanks all and definately will recommend to other family and friends.

The restaurants were very tasty and the rooftop pool was pleasantly quiet.

Stayed at Satoria Hotel Yogyakarta for a couple of nights. The room was okay overall. On the first night, the toilet wasn't very clean, which was a bit disappointing—but it was cleaned up properly by the second night (move room), so things got better. The staff were polite, and the hotel has a nice vibe. Would still recommend it, just hope the cleanliness is more consistent.

The room is comfortable. The hotel location to Malioboro is about 30 minutes.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and many kind of dishes. I love the Indomie corner.

Love the rooftop pool and bar

everything is good in terms of service and facilities, only the shower doesn't work because the shower hole doesn't work at all and toilet paper is always left behind, but for dinner it's very good. I was recommended the special menu because I myself am a vegan and for breakfast we also chose the special menu because the breakfast menu choice was a mixture of meat and eggs which we couldn't consume and everything was quite impressive for me during my holiday in Jogjakarta

Stay 5 nights for bussiness trip, overall good hotel, service, bedroom, breakfast, hot water works well, strategic location to go to famous place, food, you can take online taxi to go anywhere.

Staff Ms. Yunita has good personality, very polite.

Highly recommended and I will definitely stay here again. The breakfast is good, the rooms are comfortable, the staff is very helpful and kind, and it's kid-friendly. Easy access and close to everything. The room is clean, hot water is available, there is a bar, and there are nice views both from the room and from the swimming pool.

The toilet flush had a bit of a smell whenever in use perhaps from the water pipes. Minor issue though.

I went to Yogya for a business event. What I expected was a comfortable & clean room, good & friendly service, and simple things like amenities & hair dryer. All that I mentioned were available well. Oh yeah, the wifi was fast & there was a slippery barrier in the bathroom. So, a plus for Satoria. will come back again. thank you

There was nobody at the entrance, so I lugged my heavy suitcases up the steps, put the suitcases on a trolley and pushed the trolley over to the reception. Nobody was there either, though eventually a receptionist did come out and apologized. My room overlooked nothing but rusty low-income shanties. The lighting inside was dim, tacky, and reminiscent of a “love hotel.” The fake wood covering on the desk and cabinets was peeling off. The shower only had lukewarm water, and you can’t adjust the temperature. No hand or face towels. The internet was down the morning after I arrived. I called and (politely) asked for assistance. The receptionist told me that somebody would come to my room, but after 30 minutes nobody came. The issue was fixed after two hours. The hotel is clearly operating in austerity mode at the time that I am writing this. The room cleaners were friendly and so was the receptionist on check-out, but all of the other staff were stuffy and unpleasant – which is entirely unlike all of the hotels I have stayed at in Indonesia so far. I really do not understand how this place got positive reviews, and the only thing that comes to mind is that they contracted a very effective online marketing company to game the review score systems on several websites. If you want to have a little bit of luxury during your stay in Yograkarta, do not come here. This hotel is a mid-level 3-star boutique hotel at best, and is not worth more than $20 USD/night to stay at.
