Great place on the ocean
Pros:

We have been staying here for over 20 years and this year introduced the Ester Lee to the next generation of the family and it was amazing to share all the great memories here! We will always come to the Ester Lee!

If you're looking for modern this is not the place for you, but for everyone else it's a good choice
Pros:

amazing view. Historic charm. Very clean. Pet friendly. Front desk staff helpful and pleasant.

Cons:

Access- many stairs and steep walk to beach. Could be difficult to get onto 101, but that would be the case with any property located on this busy highway.

Very seventies feel but adequate and clean
Pros:

The view was spectacular, beach access was great.
Great water pressure, nice beds.

Cons:

The furniture could have been more comfortable, the blinds were difficult to use, and there should be a smart TV.
The sun is hot as hades mid-day and AC would be a plus!

Pros:

The staff is super friendly and I like the proximity to Nelscott Reef and Taft beachfront.

Cons:

Room could have been cleaner upon arrival, but the housekeeping staff was very accommodating , with fresh towels and linens, And the exhaust fan in the bathroom was really loud

Pros:

The view was beautiful there was beautiful large windows and a unique viewing point from inside the comfort of the hotel

Cons:

The place is extremely outdated. And low on the maintenance side. My room smelt like dog pee. I bought a plug-in freshener to help eliminate the smell. The showers are extremely small so if you're a larger person this probably wouldn't be the place you would want to stay if you had to take a shower and also the shower head sprays and leaks everywhere. The general maintenance of the place was not good. The best part was the viewing.Windows has large beautiful bay windows so you could see the ocean and the ocean front. That's probably the only perk other than it having a kitchen. No heating, no air conditioning. Good thing that the weather was perfect. If I was going on a trip out of town to go to the ocean and this trip was solely for giving my dog an experience at the beach then this would be the place I would select. This is not a place that I would select to take my family on a Beach vacation and pay top dollar for. It was site unseen for me. Made reservations online and just dealt with it. Because there weren't any other options at that time. Very over priced!

We had a nice stay in a clean and comfortable room with a view.
Pros:

The location was beautiful. In town and close to amenities. The room was clean and the view was great!

Cons:

The hot tub area was a bit of an eyesore. The check in prices was a little lengthy.

Pros:

We love the Ester Lee. We have stayed there before and always have a great stay.
No it's not brand new, bit that part of the charm.

Cons:

There was significant cobwebs in an unused cabinet in the kitchen. Maybe should check all the cabinets more often.

It was a very pleasant snd relaxing atmosphere.
Pros:

Exceptional view from everywhere in our unit. Very private plus no noise from adjoining units we could keep the curtains open and could even see the ocean at night along with the night sky. There was a musty smell in the unit.

Cons:

The kitchen had a limited number of dishes and utensils. Knives weren’t sharp. Bed was too soft.

Perfect solo mini retreat
Pros:

Epic view from the room. The fire place is such a nice touch. I felt safe.

Cons:

I would have liked a rug on either side of the bed for cleanliness.
The TV was not connected to WiFi so I couldn’t load Netflix or prime or anything, not mine or the facilities. By the time sunset was over and I was ready to settle down by the fireplace and watch the TV, the office was closed so there wasn’t support for it. Would have been nice to watch tv by the fire.
Could have used a lock on the inside of the door for peace of mind.
There was a broken Esther Lee mug in my cabinet. Seems like it’s sentimental.
The plastic chairs outside my room were cracked.

These are just small observations. My stay was outstanding and I’m happy to know about this place.
