Rooms were fine
The service was awful for dinner. We waited 20 minutes to get served for dinner, another 20 to get our drinks. The food is nothing like what’s shown on the menu. I was left hungry!

Rooms were modern and clean. Location was awesome for Aurora viewing. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hot tub was a nice bonus after a long day of hiking. Breakfast and dinner were fresh and delicious.

Contactless checkin.
Rooms very small. Cost very high for room & dinner. Short window for breakfast & not able to take even an apple if late getting there, not hungry or didn't finish. All of iceland is an expensive cartel. Be prepared to incur $1000 per day for all- food, car, lodging, excursion, car/gas.
Clean and comfortable
The hotel is located on a farm and looks off putting when you arrive, however it is just lovely. The rooms are big and very comfortable, there is no coffee or kettle in the room, however there is free tea and coffee available in the bar 24hrs a day. The food was amazing and home cooked, the breakfast was great too. Parking is outside and close. There are horses around the yard also which is lovely. The staff were really welcoming and helpful. The hot tub is also lovely. There is a dome to view the Northern Lights if needed which keeps you warmer!
There was very little not to like, I guess if you don't have a car it's a bit out of the way. The decking is a bit icy in the mornings if cold and you need to walk outside to reception and breakfast, so can get wet if raining.
Ambiance vraiment chaleureuse. On se sent très bien, le fait d’être en pleine nature est très ressourçant. La taille humaine de l’hôtel, la chambre était grande, confortable, propre tout ce dont on a besoin pour passer un bon séjour. Un lieu magnifique, reposant.

Bon à savoir, il s’agit plutôt d’une guesthouse que d’un hôtel mais la personne en charge est très bien, discrète mais très efficace.
Le seul point qui serait à revoir sont les lumières extérieures qui restent éclairées et gênent un peu car il n’y a que des rideaux ( comme partout en Islande) et qui empêchent de voir d’éventuelles aurores
The property was very comfortable and the staff was super friendly. The rooms had private bathrooms and the rooms and bathrooms were spacious and comfortable. The food at the property restaurant was superb. Horses in the property boundaries were a definite plus.
it was a bit out of the beaten path, but totally worth the drive.
The onsite restaurant had an excellent dinner menu. The smoked salmon was the best we had ever had anywhere.
