Très bon hotel avec un emplacement privilégié sur le lac de Bohinj
Pros:

L’hôtel est très bien et avec un emplacement top.
Petit déjeuner et dîner très complet et de qualité
Les massages au spa sont excellents avec des thérapeutes très sensitives qui détectent les points de tensions
Bornes de recharge pour véhicules électriques présentes sur site

Cons:

les matelas très fermes malgré le sur-matelas (qui en plus provoque de la chaleur complémentaire
La douche à l’italienne dont la paroi de protection est vraiment trop petit ce qui provoque des éclaboussures importantes dans la SDB qui mettent en risque de glissade le second à la douche

Enjoyed our stay but overpriced for our experience
Pros:

Very spacious room. Great location walking distance to town and the lake. Breakfast had a large selection of options. Nice environment to dine at the resturant.

Cons:

Our room faced onto a carpark and bin area, this did not feel like what was advertised online when booking. This resulted in us having the blinds closed on our room throughout our stay due to a lack of privacy and average view, this was made worse by only one blind over the window which was a black out blind. We were woken up several times over night by people talking near our bathroom window (in the carpark) meaning we could not having any windows open overnight, lights from cars also shone into our room from the carpark next to it.

Four star cost but not necessarily a four star experience
Pros:

Location. Some of the staff were excellent.

Cons:

The air con simply did not perform to keep the room cool. We didn’t sleep properly a single night because of how hot it was in the room. The housekeeping wasn’t great. Our room was not hoovered once in eight days so by the end of it, it was absolutely filthy.

Hotel Bohinj made us fall more in love with Slovenia
Pros:

Hotel Bohinj is a fantastic stay in Slovenia. Last year when we were in the area, we saw the hotel and decided we'd like to stay there. The location is perfect: central and yet still secluded in the woods (yet still with lake views!) and up on a hill, it's quieter than the busier area around it.

The luxuries within the hotel are so beautiful. Room design is thoughtful, spacious, and alpine-themed which makes it feel young and fun while still elevated. The wellness center has a Finnish sauna, steam room, ice/cold therapy, jacuzzi/pool, salt room, and great little refreshments. You get 2h per day as a part of your stay, which keeps it quiet and from getting too busy. The robes are comfy, the slippers are really creative, and you feel immediately relaxed.

We also really enjoyed the restaurant. The breakfast is a great combo of delicious/rich + healthy. With lots of smoothies, chia pudding and fresh produce next to pastries, 6 types of honey, and all the meat and cheese you could want, this is a great buffet. The dinner menu is also delicious and very local.

All in all, we loved it and are excited to come back on future visits to our favorite lake in our favorite country.

A peaceful retreat with exceptional hospitality, beautiful surroundings, and thoughtful attention to every detail.

Hotel Bohinj is so much more than just a hotel to me – it is a place I keep returning to for peace, inspiration, and the genuine feeling of being truly welcome.
My partner and I always find a space there where time seems to slow down. Evenings on the beautiful terrace by the fire, accompanied by live music and thoughtfully curated events, create an atmosphere where we can simply be present and enjoy the moment together. Experiences like these have become increasingly rare.
From my very first visit, I have been impressed by the warmth of the entire team, the exceptional cuisine, the impeccable attention to detail, and the deep respect for nature that can be felt throughout the hotel.
As a dog owner, I especially appreciate how warmly four-legged guests are welcomed. A comfortable dog bed, treats, and a thoughtful welcome gift make it clear that hospitality here extends to every member of the family.
Hotel Bohinj is one of those rare places where excellence is not defined by luxury alone, but by genuine kindness, heartfelt hospitality, and care for every little detail. That is why we always return with great joy and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic, high-quality, and truly memorable experience.
