Pros:

We had a beautiful stay at Joglo Mandapa Boutique Hotel & Resto in Kasihan, Bantul. From the moment we arrived, the whole place felt peaceful and relaxing, a perfect escape from the busy pace of travel.

The rooms were very spacious with soft comfortable beds that made it easy to fully unwind after long days exploring Yogyakarta. Everything was quiet at night which we really appreciated, and the entire property has a calm tropical atmosphere.

One of the highlights was the authentic Javanese decor throughout the hotel. The traditional timber architecture and detailed design inside and out gave the place real character and made it feel uniquely Indonesian rather than just another modern hotel.

The pool area was fantastic and became one of our favourite spots to relax during the afternoons. The restaurant and bar were also excellent, with good food, cold drinks and friendly service in a lovely setting.

The staff were warm and welcoming throughout our stay and always happy to help.

If you are looking for somewhere peaceful with authentic Java charm, big comfortable rooms and a relaxing atmosphere, we would happily recommend Joglo Mandapa.

Hidden gem
Pros:

Though by the side of a busy road behind the entrance is a pleasant, open lobby, but especially down below, around the swimming pool is it a very pleasant place to stay! Good restaurant too - individual orders made there and then.

Cons:

Road level is not as good as downstairs - the hotel is on the slope to the canal or river.

Suasana cukup tenang dan menyenangkan walaupun jauh dari mana2

Relaxing stay outside the centre of Yogya
Pros:

Lovely hotel far from the center from Yogya, but easily reachable by taxi in 20-30 minutes. There was a maintenance in the room we originally booked so they upgraded us to the suite for a discounted price, which was really nice of them. The suite is so worth it!! Just by the pool, which itself is really great. The food in their restaurant is great as well. If you search for a calm and relaxing stay outside the hustle and bustle of the center of Yogya, this is it!

Le décors de l'hôtel, la piscine, le prix accessible, les petits déjeuners variés, le nettoyage à la demande.

Cons:

La salle de bain aurait mérité d'un coup de brossage sur les murs des traces noires apparaissaient dans la douche, le ballon d'eau chaude de 15 L est petit pour deux personnes.

Le petit cocon verdoyant est des plus agréable. C'est calme et bien situé.

Cons:

Les chambres sont très humides, nous avons dû demander à faire changer notre draps au bout de deux jours tellement tout était humide.

Lovely pool and rooms were clean.

Cons:

We had to move rooms as there was a leak in the ceiling, the first member of staff we informed did not seem to care too much about this inconvenience for us and we had to push to change rooms. However the other staff were very friendly and helpful it’s a shame we couldn’t find them when the issue occurred.
