This stay was amazing. The staff was so helpful and attentive, the amenities were very thought out, the services were mind blowing!! This was one of the best experiences I have ever done before and would recommend this to anybody looking for a relaxing get away!
The look, the foods and the in-room onsen
Dinner was served too slow between courses. We got very sleepy in the end and lost my appetite for desserts
Wonderful property, a fantastic luxury experience. Strongly recommended!

What a special place! After about a week of walking 6-10 miles per day, it was so nice to have a little down time. Upon arriving at the hotel, we immediately got into the onsen and stayed there for a large portion of our two night stay. We loved the room -- finally a big space after staying in the tiniest of Japanese hotel rooms. We had a lovely deck with views of the mountains. You really are in the mountains at this place. The food at dinner and breakfast was delicious for the most part, and there's a lot of it. I got to try a lot of different seafood that I had never tried before. One of our waiters, Ali, made my husband a homemade birthday card for his 40th birthday. Also, they provided transport when we went to the Hakone Open Air Museum (highly recommended) and the Ropeway.
There was one button on the toilet that didn't work - the open lid/close lid button. And once you get there, you get rid of your shoes and wear slippers. None of the slippers they had fit my long narrow feet comfortably. I'm being very nitpicky due to the price of the stay, which is more money than I've ever spent on a hotel before, by a lot.
Quiet, serene, and tranquil
Room assignment location and view. We had the parking lot view. Also, let guest be aware of reserving transportation to train station to be done early. It was completely booked when we tried.
