Took a midweek getaway with son, dtg-in-law and grandson. Staff could not have been more helpful (Tino) in setting up crib, storing luggage, giving a quick tour of property and showing us a few neighborhood spots to check out. Love the history and vibe of this hotel.
We stayed at The Francis for a wedding event. The property is lovely, conveniently located and the customer service was immediate and warm.
So clean, great location, super friendly and available staff!
Cool, historic hotel
SUCH a cute place!!! The rooms were spotless, the service was amazing, and the entire place was so charming. The staff really went above and beyond to make us feel taken care of throughout our stay. Everything was beautiful, breakfast was fresh and yummy, and it was such a great value for such a wonderful experience!
I cannot speak highly enough about my stay at The Francis. From the moment my dog and I arrived we were made to feel so welcome and right at home. In our room, a dog bed, clean dog bowls and little treats were waiting for my dog. The room was such a vibe, cozy furniture and such a warm & classy atmosphere. Management went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and special. Also, the Twin Flower cafe breakfast was amazing and I still think about the cold brew & breakfast sandwich I ate there. You’re going to love staying at The Francis
The hotel was BUSY with a wedding when we showed up early to drop our bags for them to hold until we checked in. The Front Desk staff were super nice and accommodating. When we checked in our bags were already in the room, which was just perfect!
Stayed one night and it was great. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Cool building, parking was easy, in room coffee was really good. Thanks for the stay!
This is a truly lovely hotel. The care and attention to every aspect of the guest’s experience is impressive. I really appreciate the attention to the historic nature of the property as well.
Spent two nights here over the weekend. The room was clean and the A/C was great. I paid extra for outdoor seating area and I thought it was worth it. The big disappointment was the free breakfast both mornings it was disappointing...the bacon was grossly undercooked and the muffin turned into bread. The second day the order was not correct at all...and the clerk at the front desk showed no inclination to get corrected.
I love The Francis! The building is gorgeous and historic, but with funky accents and unique features that make it feel fun and modern. The staff is so friendly, the rooms are well appointed, and I slept unbelievably well. I also enjoyed an excellent dinner next door at Wayside Tavern, I would highly recommend including a stop in your visit.
No reservation. Stumbled upon this gem and I cannot recommend it enough! The place is charming and the staff were phenomenal. Be sure to check out The Wayside restaurant on premise as well.
The staff were very helpful and kind. Clean and spacious room. Cute bakery across the street and restaurants within walking distance.
No floor mirrors in the rooms and no safes to lock up valuables. The road noise could be a little loud.
The breakfast provided was average.
Love the boutique experience, nice amenities and the complimentary breakfast every morning was 10/10. Great location for exploring Portland. We had the king room with deck and the private outdoor space made a difference.
This is a nice hotel. It is very comfortable, clean. The rooms are unique and nice, yet feels homey. It is located near everything to do downtown yet didn't feel touristy.
There's nothing I didn't like
Love our top floor room and the breakfast from Tandem coffee. Very nice staff with gorgeous public areas
