in the middle of the town. next to everything you need. and the hotel stuff is legendary
unfortunately - no parking space
The hotel has got a very nice modern and contemporary feel which we really enjoyed. The staff is extremely friendly and very accommodating. We were able to check in before the advertised check in time without any hassle which really helped.
We were also able to store our bags for free while we hiked the Laugavegur trail and we collected the bags on our last night at the hotel before leaving for the airport the following day.
The location of the hotel is great - right in the heart of Reykjavik with lots of nice shops and restaurants all within walking distance.
The rooms all face the busy pedestrian street and it can get very noisy in the evening and at night time when people are still out and about enjoying the pubs and bars in the neighborhood. If you are a light sleeper then you will not be able to open the windows for any fresh air because the noise will more than likely keep you awake :-(
Posizione ottima proprio in centro, zona pedonale. Ambiente molto carino.
Camera nel complesso comoda e molto piacevole. Staff cordiale
The rooms are very clean and spacious and the showers are amazing. The staff is really nice and welcoming - I was even offered a glass of prosecco during check-in! The location is also pretty great and there are a lot of good restaurants close by.
It is rather pricey but still worth it.
Great location, great room, wonderful staff!
No on-site parking
Location location location!! Very helpful staff.
No breakfast but not a deal breaker given the amount of cafes around the area.
Good location. Great staff. Clean and comfortable.
When I got there I had been upgraded which was lovely, the room was very spaceous with a lovely view of the Hallgrimskirkja and a lovely bath and shower. The shower was very modern, really hot and had a lot of power to it, in a lot of hotels. There is no breakfast on site, which others may not like, you have to go down the road and they work with a bakery where you get 10% off. I was out early each day so I wasnt bothered, I tried various bakeries which gave me more options. In the room there was a little fridge for me to keep milk in and some water so I didnt need anything else, long as I had my morning coffee while getting ready. The hotel isnt big, its a small reception area but you dont need anything else, The staff were very helpful and pleasant and accommodated every need I had and the hotel was in a great location. It was really clean and the bed was fantastic, after long excursions through the day it was so nice to come back and have a really nice bed to sleep in. I didnt find it noisy at all, right in the heart of it.
I liked everything the only thing I would say was it was difficult to find as no sign to say Ion Hotel so I walked passed it at first. The name of the hotel was in the bottom of the window which was difficult to see. Once you knew where it was it wasnt a problem but to initially find it, it was difficult.
