Blitzsauber, tolle Lage, extrem freundliches Personal
-
Good location, nice beds, excellent breakfast.
A truly fascinating interpretation of a 4-star hotel. The staff was technically polite, but with the emotional warmth of people being forced to answer emails at 3 AM during a power outage. Every interaction felt like we had personally interrupted a very important existential crisis.
The room itself had some charming design choices, such as walls decorated with scratches and dirt marks that added a lovely “well-used train station underpass” aesthetic. The bathroom experience was especially memorable: apparently ventilation is considered more of a philosophical concept here. There was no ventilation in the toilet and barely any in the bathroom, which created some rather unfortunate odor situations that lingered far longer than any guest should have to.
We also specifically informed reception that we only wanted the room cleaned on the third day. This information was treated more like a creative suggestion than an actual request, because someone still knocked on our door every single day, disturbing us repeatedly.
Honestly, I’m impressed by the confidence required to market this as a 4-star hotel. That level of optimism should be studied academically.
