Pros:

I was disappointed with my stay. I had booked and paid online for a family room located at the back of the hotel, but instead, we were given Room 28, on the second floor in the attic. I still don't understand why we weren't given the room we had reserved.

Unfortunately, the room itself was not comfortable. The bed was very noisy and uncomfortable, and the wooden floor creaked with every step. The room also had a strong damp, musty smell, which made it feel unpleasant. In addition, the bathroom tap sink was extremely small, making it difficult even to wash our hands properly.
The only positive part of our stay was the hotel staff. They were polite, friendly.

Pros:

Location and view from room. Staff were lovely and helpful.

Cons:

Hotel is tired, room was clean but scruffy. No valance on bed which had a lot of wear and tears.Breakfast not taken as did not fit in with our 8.30 ferry.

Great, would stay here again
Pros:

We loved the breakfast, the location, the building and the swimming pool. The steam room was really good. Staff were amazing.

Cons:

The water pressure was at times too low for it to reach the shower, which meant that since if it's could only have baths.

Lovely place to stay
Pros:

Beautiful location and very comfortable. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Excellent value restaurant and huge breakfast variety.

Cons:

Only one complaint- the coffee was not too our liking.

I ordered a medium to well done rib eye steak it arrived very very pink, returned it came back had just been reheated along with the chips and veg, couldn't eat it waiter didn't charge me the full £26 took 30% off the price ... for a steak I couldn't eat.

Accomodation was fine but restaurant and restaurant service was disappointing
Pros:

The room was pleasant and comfortable but the en suite needed a refit and redecoration. The receptionist was efficient and helpful.

Cons:

Dinner in the restaurant was poor, neither of us could finish our main courses. Where this is a centre for fresh seafood to use what was probably frozen seafood ingredients was unacceptable. The restaurant staff disappeared so we couldn't complain or order coffee. Breakfast was average.

Nice well appointed hotel on the Prom in Oban with great views from the bar and restaurant
Pros:

Nice Spacious room with a sea view (Room 42) overlooking Oban Harbour. Lovely position in the town right on the esplanade with great views form both the bar and restaurant

Cons:

Hotel room was a bit cold when we got in (Late June in Scotland !!) but put the heaters on and it warmed up nicely.

If staying for a while, the storage for clothes may be a bit limited but perfect for a short stay.

Oban ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt zu den nahegelegenen Inseln - falls das Wetter mitspielt.

Schöne Frontansicht des Hotels.

Cons:

Die Familienzimmer befinden sich in Baracken hinter dem Hotel. Mit etwas Glück findet man einen Parkplatz. Der Frühstückskaffee ist dünn und geschmacklos.

Decor and rooms are very tired. Breakfast poor - fruit appeared to be from a tin. A missed opportunity for a hotel in such a great location. Needs huge investment to bring it up to full potential.
