Location and bed was nice.
I asked for an earlier check in and was told they could only guarantee if I paid an additional 75 euro for an extra 3 hrs. I thought that was very poor. Also no mention when I was booking that the bathroom was upstairs. Thankfully the toilet was downstairs.

This was the best hotel experience we have had. It felt luxury from the moment we checked in. The staff could not do enough to help us. The location and beautiful building were fabulous. The comfort and amenities massively exceed our expectations - from lovely cocktails in the room through to the comfortable furnishing, robes and slippers. We loved the bar, too! Exceptional customer service and we cannot wait to return!

The 2-meter-tall girl gave me a wonderfully warm room tour and shared boat trip info that turned out to be very helpful.
The girl from Thailand made me a customized breakfast blending European and Asian styles — honestly the best hotel breakfast I've ever had.
The décor throughout the hotel and room is truly amazing. I'd definitely choose this hotel again if I have the chance to visit Ghent in the future.
Toplocatie aan de mark vlakbij de grootste bezienswaardigheden. Ondanks deze locatie geen geluidsoverlast gehad. De dag goed kunnen beginnen met een fantastisch lekker ontbijt.
Dat er geen parking aan het hotel was. Hierdoor hebben we een duurdere ondergrondse parking moeten betalen. Maar dit was vermeld dus wisten we op voorhand.

De service was erg goed! Daarnaast is de locatie perfect en wat ook erg leuk is is de geschiedenis van het gebouw.

This hotel is truly one of the highlights of Ghent. Housed in the beautifully restored former post office building, it combines impressive historic architecture with stylish design.
The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city, within walking distance of all the major attractions. If you get a room with a view, you'll enjoy stunning panoramas of Ghent's historic landmarks and beautiful canals.
The hotel staff are exceptionally professional, friendly, and welcoming. They are young, energetic, and always willing to help, making every interaction pleasant and enjoyable.
The breakfast was excellent and included a signature dish. However, in my opinion, it is slightly overpriced, especially considering the reasonable room rates.
Although we were very satisfied with our stay overall, there were a few minor service issues that led me to slightly lower my rating.
While the room was cleaned to a very high standard upon our arrival and on the second day of our stay, I unfortunately couldn't say the same about the third day. It felt as though the housekeeping was done in a hurry. The fresh towels were left on top of our belongings inside an open suitcase, and the bed was made rather carelessly.
At the cocktail bar, I ordered one of the signature cocktails, and it was absolutely outstanding. My wife ordered a Bellini, but the bartender substituted one of the ingredients without informing us beforehand, which unfortunately altered the taste and made the cocktail less enjoyable. In addition, our coffee was never served, even though we reminded the staff about our order several times.
We also noticed a slight unpleasant smell in our room, although it wasn't there when we first checked in. We only noticed it for a short time after returning from outside, so it didn't have any real impact on the overall quality of our stay.
After we checked out, we were informed by the staff that the coffee jar from our room had gone missing. I clearly remember where I left it before leaving the room, but unfortunately it was never found. While this was only a minor issue, it was a little disappointing and left us with a slightly less positive final impression.
These were only minor issues, but they were noticeable given the otherwise excellent standard of the hotel.
