Great place, beautiful building, good service, pricey breakfast, two level room not convenient

great location, friendly staff, good service, excellent interior design, attention to detail, beautiful building

Cons:

the breakfast was overpriced and with limited options, the room had two levels; the bathroom was at the second level and that was not all all convenient

If you are traveling to Ghent, the only place to stay is The Post.
Pros:

Truly memorable stay thanks to the exceptionally well designed spaces and beyond fabulous service.
The Post is ideally situated for exploring Ghent. The entire staff went above and beyond to assist us in coordinating bike rentals, dinner reservations, and seeing the sights.
The Cobbler is not to be missed. The expertly crafted cocktails compete with even the most awarded restaurants.
The breakfast was lovely.

Zeer kort, doch zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!
Pros:

Ik had niet verwacht dat het hotel, zo in gedetailleerd op de kleine extra's zou letten. Het was een aangename verrassing dat dit wel het geval was. Ook het personeel, was aandachtig en behulpzaam tot in de kleinste details.

Cons:

Het was best moeilijk om het hotel te vinden/bereiken met de wagen. Doch dit werd (eens gevonden) ook prima opgelost. Communicatie hierover op voorhand is misschien wel handiger.

Pros:

Mooie locatie, goed personeel, mooi sfeervol pand uitstekend ontbijt en goede cocktailbar. Aangenaam om te zitten.

Cons:

Er had wel een parkeerplek bij de prijs kunnen zitten. Ook had een restaurant fijn geweest waar je even kunt lunchen en eten maar volgens mij was er een verbouwing aan de gang. Wel uistekende suggesties gekregen van het personeel voor restaurants in Gent. Echt een aanrader dit hotel en we komen zeker terug.

Мы были в разгар летнего сезона, в номере прохладно, чисто, ванная комната большая и светлая! Кровать удобная! Персонал отеля дружелюбный, на ресепшене потрясающая Флёр, внимательная, улыбчивая и открытая! Комплимент от отеля и открытка отеля на память, это мило и приятно 👍

Lieu Incontournable!
Pros:

Nous avons beaucoup aimé :
- l'emplacement de l'hôtel (lieu central et proche d'un parking souterrain).
- la décoration de la chambre
- la qualité du service et de l'accueil (verre offert, chocolats offerts et carte postale (écrite à la main))
- le personnel qui parlait français
- la qualité de la literie
- la douche
- la terrasse avec la vue sur la place (chambre numéro 6!!!)
- « l'honesty bar » qui est un concept très sympa
- les jeux de société présents dans la chambre et dans « l'honesty bar ».
- la propreté
- la qualité des produits fournis (Guerlain) et les chaussons + peignoirs très doux

Cons:

Ce que nous avons moins aimé :
- le lieu étant central, nous entendions les fêtards qui étaient dehors jusqu'à plus de deux heures du matin.

An unforgettable stay in a beautiful historic hotel
Pros:

Everything about this hotel is extraordinary-from its architecture (love neo-gothic architecture) and rich history to its beautiful aesthetics and outstanding staff. A great amount of care has gone into every aspect of the interior decor, creating unforgettable atmosphere. And the hallways smelled so good!!!
It is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in.

It felt like a paradise steeped in history!

The rooms were stylish, comfortable, and impeccably clean, while the overall experience provided excellent value considering the location and character of the property. Despite being in the city center, the noise level was surprisingly low, allowing for a peaceful stay.
