Beautiful, quiet & peaceful location with direct access to the lagoon from the deck, conveniently close to a well-stocked little market (with fresh baked goods and deli food) and a 20-minute walk into the nearest village. Kayaks and some snorkelling gear available for a fee. The garden rooms, which are closer to reception, can be louder with more foot traffic going by; if privacy is important to you, it's worth paying a bit more to be farther away from reception. And the garden rooms *are* dark, but in such a hot climate that's not necessarily a bad thing. We weren't troubled by mosquitoes and found the bed very comfortable and the whole suite well-appointed. All in all this very special little hotel provides the luxury and comforts you'd expect at a big resort, with a much more personal touch and at a considerably lower price.
One of the most unusually beautiful locations I have ever stayed in. It’s a breathtaking location with incredible and attentive people running this amazing place. I’m so thankful for everyone there and for the opportunity to have stayed in a place that is just so thought out and beautiful. We were warmly welcomed with 2 other couples arriving very early. We went to lunch while we waited for our room. Breakfast is served for cost, you need a car to get around. One place to eat close by but wasn’t open during our stay. We had ordered in Thai and it was amazing.
What a gem of a place this is! I have been to Moorea several times, but it’s my first time staying here. I was lucky to get a last minute booking arriving in Moorea a day early. This beautiful guesthouse is tucked away in a gorgeous bay in the north east part of the island. I have traveled the world extensively, and I was very impressed how unique and special this place was! Incredibly warm and friendly staff to great and take you to your room, and even given a personal tour of the room which had such a lovely design and special touches. I booked the ocean deck room which was such a treat, having my own private deck on the water! The room was so special, It was hard to leave and enjoy the rest of the beautiful property, which you really should take time to enjoy as well. Trust me, this property is one you should really stay at on your next trip to Moorea! All the rooms are different which makes it inviting to come back again and again! Thank you again for such a lovely stay!

Extremely charming and romantic hotel with tons of character. Lush garden throughout the property. Huge indoor and outdoor lounging areas. Outdoor deck is built right up to the ocean and is a wonderful place to sit and watch the ocean life beneath your feet. Rooms have nearly a full kitchen (no stove). Pleasant staff.
We stayed in the "Romantic Deluxe Suite." Room was nice but we were plagued by mosquitos, despite having all the doors closed (the room in not sealed to the exterior and thus the mosquitos could enter). The stuffed furniture is showing its age with stains and buttons falling off (and poorly taped back on). Linens and towels are very nice. Lots of hot water. Modern bathroom.
Stayed here before in the "Deluxe Lagoon Suite" and absolutely loved it (no mosquitos) and found it worth the price.
Note the "Junior Suites" are located in the garden area; have few windows and thus somewhat dark and no ocean view.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel! Spent 3 nights. Ambience is so much more than what you get at a chain hotel ( not that I don’t enjoy a stay at the four season as well- it’s just not the right vibe for this island) . The local cat became our pet for a few nights which made us feel right at home. And the views and location were perfect. Great restaurant nearby and beach at Les tipaniers for water activities. Would highly recommend if wanting somewhere cozy and off the beaten path while still having some luxury.
