Pros:

The hotel was good. It looks a little tired from the outside, but inside it is lovely

Cons:

There was a mix up with the booking. I booked 2 single rooms for 21st, but for some reason the hotel had it as 20th and 21st, one room each night, which wasn't correct.. my friend had to book an available room on our arrival.

The hotel looks tired on the outside, but inside it is lovely.

Cons:

Mix up with the booking. I booked 2 rooms for 21st. However the hotel had it as one room for 2 nights, 20th and 21st, which wasn't correct, and contrary to my booking.com confirmations.

The price.

Cons:

No pool, no breakfast even though i paid for it. No extra bedding. No warning about work happening in the next room early in the morning. Beds spring sticking up in the mattress. Hot pipes at the head of the bed so i had to move the bed in the night as it was far too hot. Shower soap dispenser empty.

.a good base for discovering Carlisle and Hadrians Wall
Pros:

The bedroom was comfortable, and there was a well equipped gym, The breakfast was buffet one day, and to order on the other day. Both options were fine. The bar was open every night, and had a good selection. It was about 15-20 minutes walk to the centre of town

Cons:

The shower in our room was warm enough but not very powerful. It would have been nice to have a lift to get to our room on the second floor, as we had two heavy cases, although the staff carried one of the upstairs, which was very helpful. Overall, the hotel was looking in need of a bit of TLC
