Schön, aber nichts für heiße Tage
Pros:

Schönes Hotel im alten Jagdschloss mit schön designten Räumlichkeiten und Zimmern. Tolle Lage direkt am Wald. Fußläufig ist man in wenigen Minuten in Kranichstein mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und ÖPNV.

Cons:

Wir waren im Nebengebäude (Neubau). Dort war es im Hochsommer viel zu heiß. Unverständlich, warum bei einem Neubau keine Klimaanlage eingebaut wurde. Es gab nur einen Standventilator und die Fenster haben kein Fliegengitter. Das Frühstück war eher lieblos und langweilig, nichts besonderes.

Die Reinigungskraft war unfreundlich, konnte nicht mal grüssen. Am Abreisetag wurden wir von ihm bereits 1/2 vor checkout herausgeklopft.

Geen luxe plek om een dag uit te rusten tijdens de reis

Warm op de kamer, kleine kamer maar vooral het feit dat de kamer boven het museum was en niet aan het hotel. Wij dachten alles onder 1 dak te hebben en luxe een rustdag tijdens onze reis te hebben. Nu hadden we alleen een kamer en voor de rest moesten we naar het hotel l lopen. De biergarten zat in het museum en was maar beperkt open. Een zithoek voor een spelletje was er niet. Het restaurant was apart en niet open overdag dus we waren op onze kamer aangewezen. Het ontbijtbuffet werd niet aangevuld en aangezien wij wat later gingen ontbijten was er beperkt keuze en was de kaizerschmarren hard en uitgedroogd. Onze teleurstelling gedeeld met de receptie en gevraagd of we de laatste nacht konden annuleren maar dat was niet mogelijk omdat we via booking.com hadden geboekt. Toch besloten uit te checken en ons verlies te nemen omdat we niet 24 uur op onze kleine warme kamer zonder zithoek wilden zitten opgesloten en naar huis gereden. Booking.com in kennis gesteld en 40 euro teruggehad.
Ergste was de verwachting een dag lekker te kunnen uitrusten en alles onder 1 dak te hebben en dan de teleurstelling dat je aangewezen ben op een kleine kamer.

Een prima doorreis hotel met een goed verzorgd ontbijt en een goede mogelijkheid om ’s avonds wat te te eten.
