Location was perfect a short walk over the river across the park to the town.
A little tired and shabby in parts but very clean. No cooked breakfast.

Well-located with good dining & breakfast facilities.
Insufficient heating in our room, which did not rise much beyond 64F, 18C. Heating came on only for a couple of hours morning & evening even though the outside temperature was c12C.
Good location, on the river. Friendly staff. Comfortable but small room.
Paying for parking. Dated decor.
The Bed was a double rather than queen and the 3rd floor without a lift was hard to carry cases. Also we were annoyed to be charged addition costs to park the car in the car park overnight. We booked through a third party and were told when we arrived if we had paid direct there would be no parking charge. Also we were charged a 10% service charge for our evening meal for no reason.

Continental breakfast was as to be expected, however the tea and coffee were both cold, Tea was weak with no tea bags to make it stronger. Only 1 milk option. Beds were uncomfortable, bathroom was horrible, mold all around shower screen, Taps were all tarnished and needed replacing. Room smelled musty and damp.
Room and general ambiance, hotel was dated and not very clean or inviting.
Room as expected, had everything that we wanted, however, poor internet quality including TV reception.
Breakfast was at best adequate, bread was clearly frozen and not ideal for open continental sandwiches, options for continental was poor, with hotel trying to get guests to upgrade to cooked English.
By adding fresh bread rolls, boiled eggs and options for different cheeses would have improved available options.
My partner is Gluten free, only option was cheese, break was provided but again had to be toasted as was frozen, meat option was breaded ham, so her choices were yogurt, fruit and toast, more thought needed, breakfast cereals a must.
Overall, great location.
The mattress was rock hard, a 3 day stay left us with back pains
Easy walk into city centre. Rooms spacious and comfortable. Excellent meal in the restaurant.
