Ashley Hotel

Das Hotel liegt recht zentral. Entweder man benutzt den Bus, der gleich beim Hotel abfährt oder läuft ca 15 Minuten durch den Park am River Cam entlang bis in die City. Unser Zimmer war groß und gemütlich ausgestattet, sauber und mit dem üblichen Tee-Zubereitungs-Tablett bestückt.. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und die Mitarbeitenden sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Le charme du côté désuet de l’établissement et de la chambre. L’emplacement près des bus.

Le parking, le petit-déjeuner, la litterie. L'hôtel n'est pas très loin du centre historique.

De ligging tov centrum, slechts 10 min loopafstand en dan nog door park!

The breakfast ( included in the price) was one of the best we have had, in a lovely room. There was plenty of storage. The tea and coffee making facility was great, with extra supplies available if needed. Plenty of on site free parking was available. It was very quiet in the room. The dinner at the partner hotel was excellent.

The staff were so friendly and happy. The hotel let us park early and take the car late the following day. Breakfast was lovely the rooms a little old fashioned but clean, well kept and spacious.
Having my bags carried to the room was a treat ! The hotel is close to the stop for the tour bus so we were able to travel around Cambridge and get back close to the hotel on both days we stayed as the ticket is for 24 hours. All in all a good hotel and will be back

Good size free carpark that we were able to park in before check in, allowing us to arrive early & enjoy wandering around Cambridge for the day.

Leuke en authentieke plek, prima ontbijt en vriendelijke personeel

Das Ashley hat eine super Lage mit eigenem, großzügigem Parkplatz. Wir hatten zu zweit ein großes Familienzimmer mit eigenem WC und Badezimmer mit Badewanne. Das Doppelbett war sehr gemütlich. Einziger Wermutsteopfwn: Kofferschleppen durch das enge Treppenhaus in den 2..Stock.
Das Frühstück wurde, frisch zubereitet und wir hatten die Qual der Wahl. Das Personal ist wahnsinnig zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns unterhalten wie Freunde. Insgesamt ein charmantes, altes Haus mit viel Charme und Flair. Wir haben uns gefühlt wie zu Hause. Kommen gerne wieder, wenn wie in der Gegend sind! Top.ö

Super Lage, sehr schöner Spaziergang in die Innenstadt, der je nach Geschwindigkeit 15 - 20 Minuten dauert. Wir haben definitiv keinen ÖPNV gebraucht. Wirklich total problemloses parken hinter dem Hotel, wäre auch mit unserem 3er-Fahrradträger problemlos möglich gewesen. Die etwas ältere Dame, die uns beim Empfang begrüßte und das Frühstück macht ist sehr herzlich und nett. Das dritte Bett (wir waren mit Teenie unterwegs) ist ein vollwertiges Bett und genauso bequem wie das große Doppelbett. Das Familienzimmer war sehr geräumig. Im Boat-House und Fort St. George kann man schön draußen sitzen und noch was essen und den Abend ausklingen lassen. Insgesamt etwas älter, aber das Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis für die Lage passt. Frühstück war lecker, aber sehr englisch (kein Obst, keine Wurst, kein Käse - wie wir es aus Deutschland kennen würden). Dafür Full Englisch Breakfast (und auch ein Würstchen für Vegetarier) und diverse Cornflakes & Co, Croissants und Muffins.

Es ist wohl ein Anbau im Innenhof (aber wohl noch mit Parkplätzen) geplant, das Schild sieht aber schon älter aus und es ist noch kein Anbau/ keine Baustelle in Sicht.

This place is dated, but felt like a cosy trip down memory lane to my parents house in the 90s. Clean, excellent value and friendly staff. Not in the middle of town, but an easy and pleasant walk in with some great amenities on the door step.
