Stayed 2nights before Mexico City business trip. It was better than what we expected!
Location:
About 2.5-3hrs from Mexico City Airport, we hired a car with a driver through the hotel. It was easy, but getting out from Mexico City took us an hour, so it wasn't a short ride. Wasn't sure if this long trip was worth it just for the weekends. But it was worth it.
Hotel sits at the end of the historic downtown. Google map said to walk about 15min walk, wasn't bad at all. For us, it felt shorter.
Room:
Cutest room you can find. Old Mexican traditional, but modern and sleek design. My room was facing the back of the building, overlook the grassy patio area with a pink cathedral with 2 Juliette balcony. Room was big enough, has separate tub/shower/toilets. Only thing missing was full length mirror. Loved the decor and views.
Restaurant:
Beautiful breakfast with patio was great. Had dinner on first night at international restaurant and it was amazing. I have never tasted this much of great flavor! We ordered Roasted cauliflower and Quinoa salad, both were amazing. Breakfast was great and amazing selections. Had dinner at the rooftop Thali restaurant, was amazing too.
I've been to other Banyan Tree resorts in Asia. It's different from other resort hotels and this is a city hotel, but felt like a resort hotel at some parts. Amazing service and cutest property, great restaurants. Hotel and restaurants seemed empty but this was a great find and hidden gem, must try. Just a note: Not many employees speaks English except for the front desk. So you need to have translation apps ready. Loved this hotel.
Banyan is very very very nice hotel situated on a very quiet corner in a nicer part of Puebla. The service is top notch and the food and restaurant staff were really really good to us. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were very tastefully decorated and it was a very comfortable stay.
Que hay que dar mantenimiento
No value for money, staff are friendly however it seems that they miss a lot of training , even their uniform is over used , the waiter who served us had a torn shirt sleeves and torn jeans
The hotel didn’t recognize our special occasion though I mentioned it pre-arrival, instead they sent us an upselling brochure, not a single time they checked on how the stay going

This Banyan Tree Hotel location was wonderful. Rooms were spacious, staff was very accommodating (and attentive). The views from the rooftop bar were amazing.
Will definitely stay here again.

Banyan Tree Puebla has achieved something very special by bringing together hospitality, gastronomy, and a beautiful setting. Without a doubt, it was one of the best dining experiences we have enjoyed in Puebla in recent years.
The hotel is very well located, and honestly I have no complaints at all. The only downside is that, once you stay here, you’ll have to make a tough choice: either stay in and enjoy the hotel (because you won’t feel like leaving) or go out and explore the beautiful city of Puebla.
The attention to detail, cleanliness, and service are outstanding, not to mention all the little touches that make your stay truly unique.
Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. If you want to discover Puebla, or simply take a getaway and stay at one of the best hotels you’ll ever experience, I definitely recommend staying here.

La struttura è elegante
Pessimo servizio di rifacimento della camera. Mettono gli asciugamani per una persona e bisogna chiedere per due persone altrimenti non li danno. E questo ogni giorno. Le lenzuola sono lise e strappate. La colazione si chiede una cosa e ne portano un’altra.
If you're going to book this hotel, my best advice is to call ahead and ask if there is a wedding at the hotel that weekend. If so, schedule for a different weekend or pick another hotel.
Due to the wedding, hotel felt understaffed, and the qualify of the food/service felt downgraded as well, also the music from the wedding reached my room although my room was almost the furthest from the reception. (It was that loud).
Staff was kind and apologetic. They comped some beverages and meals. I would have been more forgiven if Hotel Manager Manuel Leal replied to my email I sent 4 days ago, but unfortunately I have not heard back from him yet.
Hotel felt more like a 4-star than a 5-star. Even on the days where there was no wedding. Location is pretty great.
