Pool area felt a little tired. Needs some attention.
Axel Hotel Madrid was the perfect place to stay after the Gay Games. The location is excellent, with Chueca, Gran Vía and plenty of restaurants, bars and cafés all within easy walking distance. The room was modern, clean and comfortable, the rooftop pool was a great place to unwind, and the staff were always friendly and welcoming. The hotel has a relaxed, inclusive atmosphere that made us feel at home, and it was an excellent base for exploring Madrid.

Kamer was ok-ish. Ik had meer luxe verwacht voor de hoge prijs van de kamer.
Het zwembad viel heel erg tegen. Het was koud en klein. Ook het feit dat er ontzettend veel hetero's waren, gaf geen "veilig" gevoel. Niet dat ik daar iets op tegen heb, maar ik had bewust gekozen voor een LGBT hotel.

Localização e funcionários muito prestativos. Principalmente a Ana do bar da piscina. Foi tudo muito bom.

The hotel is in an ideal location in the center of central Madrid, within walking distance to museums, restaurants, the Palace and Cathedral, and by car about 30 minutes from the airport. Room was large and clean. Rooftop pool and bar were welcome and fun.
