Clean & quiet & OK for a place to sleep - but nothing to write home about
Pros:

Value for money for staying within 30 minutes' walking distance of Newcastle city centre. Fine as a base and a place to sleep. Clean, quiet, car parking, friendly staff, bar with food available. Bedrooms named after women. Hotel not very busy so did not need to wait for shared bathroom. Fine to leave window open at night for cooler air as staying during a heatwave - without being disturbed by noise etc. Front door open until midnight and night porter available to answer if returning after that. Multiple fire exits.

Cons:

Only two toilets and one shower shared between I'm not sure how many bedrooms. One of the toilets blocked quite easily. Bedroom hot and stuffy during heatwave; arrived to find radiator on during one of the hottest days of the year! Could not get hot water out of the shower, though not particularly concerned about this because of the heat. Small hole in floorboard under carpet in corridor. Room door locked OK, but lower half of door not true to frame. Another guest approached me in panic one morning to tell me that the main internal door that he had been shown the way out through had been left locked, and so he couldn't get out of the hotel. I was too sleepy to tell him there was another way out by climbing up one floor and down two.

Egy régies, közepes méretű hotel, aminek a szobáit kiadják. Kulccsal záródó ajtók vannak. A dohszagon és a kocsmán kívül
Pros:

Rendkívül olcsó, jól zárható szobák, régies divatjamúlt stílusú.

Cons:

A semmi közepén van, a földszint egyben egy kocsma is, tehát minden este részeg férfiak tarsasagaban lehetsz. Aludni jó.

Nothing was too much trouble. And peaceful hotel.
Pros:

Check in with Vicky was so quick and easy. There was a fault in our original room. I went down and spoke to Vicky. In less than 10 minutes. She rang me telling me, we were being upgraded to an ensuite room. Loved the cups-proper size. :-) And the toiletries. My partner was granted access to kitchen.
23.06.26 I just remembered- loved that the toilet roll was good quality and gentle. (I'm honest)

Cons:

The stairs. Haha. Couldn't see any information about WiFi password. Nor bar opening hours. But also didn't ask. So myself was partially at fault.

A true home away from home.
Pros:

In no uncertain terms, this is one of my best stays! The staff and owner are truly world class professionals. They made me feel so at home and were so accommodating. I will stay here every time I come to the Newcastle area. I cannot recommend this hotel more highly! It’s a beautiful location at a cost-effective price!
