Traditional setting with modern facilities, but what made it exceptional was the staff! Nothing was too much trouble, helpful, informative and the atmosphere amongst staff was cheerful and supportive.

Great location in Hove, really good size living area in the news (bigger than it looks on the pictures) rooms were great, beds comfy, appreciate the AC. Staff were excellent at check in/check out.
We ran out of hot water on one of the mornings, someone had to have a cold shower. More of a reflection on restaurant rather than accommodation - our waitress was a bit ditzy, and we also had to wait a very long time for our breakfast after ordering.
No breakfast included which was a shame as it was expensive
Only the price really- and the carpet was stained- which for that price you don’t expect

Noisy when other people were coming back after a night out
Super easy check in / out process. Room was clean and the bathroom was lovely. Had everything you need for a couple of nights away! We had breakfast downstairs which was exceptional - highly recommend!
My only tiny gripe is that for the room we stayed in (room 1) the blinds did not cover the window, and so at 5am when the sun was coming up it streamed into the room directly into your face. Small thing, next time I’d just bring an eye mask!

The only thing I can think to say is I would put the wine glasses where the kettle is and the kettle on the shelf by the bathroom door because I was scared I’d knock over the champagne flutes!
Very friendly staff, rooms beautiful, clean and good facilities. Great to have pub & restaurant downstairs and very close to other amenities. Great reasonably priced breakfast menu
Steep stairs up to room but that’s part of old building’s character and meant we had a great view
