Pros:

金鱗湖まで歩いて5分くらいで湯の坪街道もすぐで、コンビニも歩いて3分圏内にあります。
リッチはすごく良いです。

Cons:

チェックイン時にスタッフの方から注意事項の説明があり（夜は静かにする様に）ましたが、夜（11時過ぎ）、上の階の宿泊者さんがドタドタ歩いたり、物を落としたりとかなり騒々しく、度を越していたのでフロントに行きその旨を伝えました。
しばらくして静かになったので、伝えてくれたのだと思います。
音がかなり響くので、神経質な方は控えた方がいいかもしれません。

Pros:

フロントと喫茶スペースは開放的で清潔感もある
庭のベンチも素敵で、ゆっくりお茶できます
金鱗湖近くで散歩コースとしては最高
早朝や夕方などいつでも美しい金鱗湖を眺める散歩ができます

Cons:

近隣に夜まで営業している外食店が無く、飲みながらゆっくりディナーを楽しみたいなら駅付近まで徒歩で往復するしかないのは残念
温泉を楽しみにしていたが、外風呂の外壁等が老朽化して、ややがっかりでした

Great private onsen experience for mountainous stay in Yufuin
Pros:

The property is right nearby a Lawson shop and the bus stop to go to Beppu, from which you can go to Oita via train. It’s also at the end of the main road that has all sort of small shops, and ultimately all nearby Lake Kinrin. Essentially it’s at the end part of Yufuin rather than at the beginning part with the station. This can be both an advantage and a disadvantage, but if you like me chose Yufuin as base instead of Beppu and Oita, is the fastest way to have a quick run to the bus stop right in the morning.

I genuinely liked that we also had our own Onsen and could do laundry, although not all of it was perfect.

Cons:

The property is a bit secluded from the rest of Yufuin depending on your choice of base (see above good points), but that’s not the major issue. I think what I didn’t like the most was that I could not do laundry until the very last day because the staff was doing laundry themselves with the same machine. My understanding was that they have a separate machine, and instead two times the guy at the desk had done his own laundry.

Thankfully the woman that came the next day was very helpful and picked up my laundry ensuring it was dried after I started it very early in the morning to avoid such issues.

In addition to this the onsen outside was a bit dirty every time I went. I guess it depends more on the guests than the property, but maybe a few more warnings and pledges could help.

I also wondered about the mention of keeping valuables always with you and leave nothing in the room when exiting, as the staff isn’t responsible for losses in the room: since cleaning wasn’t done in the five days I stayed in, and I had the only key, I wondered why there was a risk of burglary/stealing in the first place. It made me feel quite unsafe at first, but in the end nothing happened.

The property however needs to change their hair dryer: all of them smell or have scotch/tape on them (right next to a warm source of air?!), which kinda baffled me. But besides the issues the property was very convenient and a first experience into onsen, and ultimately the staff was very kind.

由布院最高！温泉最高！
Pros:

広々とした貸切の室内風呂と露天風呂が最高でした！
また、室内の洗面台やベットも清潔で問題ありませんでした。

基本全部最高だったのですが、ルールの説明もう少し親切にして欲しいです。張り紙とか細かくルール設定するとそれはそれで雰囲気台無しではあるのですがいろいろ方法はあると思います。

格安と呼べるホテルではないので、マナーを守らない人がいて迷惑したという話ではなく、自分がこれで合ってるのか？と不安になってしまうためです。例えば、露天風呂の照明スイッチはどれかとか、露天風呂の扉は雨降ってるけど開けたまんまのほうがいいのかとか、そもそも何時まで入ってOKなのかとか（おそらく指定がないので常識の範囲内なら何時でもOK）チェックアウトの時はどこから出ればいいのかとか…

総じてとてもいい宿だったのですが旅行慣れてないと困惑するかもしれません。

Pros:

The staff were very kind and always happy to help, which made the stay especially pleasant. The room was simple but perfectly adequate — not luxurious, but clean, comfortable, and well maintained.
The indoor onsen was a really nice touch, especially since it could be used privately, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, a very good stay and great value for what it offers.

Cons:

One downside was that there was no shower in the room, so I had to rely on the onsen facilities. Since the onsen is used privately, it wasn’t always available, which could be inconvenient at times.
Also, the temperature of the onsen was excessively hot
