Location. Great breakfast.
Parking was a little unclear.
Very clean and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was above your typical hotel buffet. Quality food.
A little expensive.
We had a mixed experience at this hotel. Overall, it seemed new and clean. The staff were all helpful and friendly. Our room type/size was just what we needed for a family with two teenagers--a 2 queen suite with living room and balcony. The breakfast buffet was convenient and had a lot of selection.
On the other hand, we had some strange issues. First, our room was not available until over an hour after the check-in time and we were repeatedly told "just 15 more minutes," which was frustrating because these assurances kept proving false and we were left just sitting around in the lobby. At least they made it up to us by compensating our parking, which was a significant value.
Next, there was some strange and disturbing artwork in our suite--a woman in a sundress sleeping or unconscious in the snow? Presumably, the goal emotion was "tranquility," but no woman would sleep in the snow in a sundress, so it was hard to walk by this artwork without imagining this poor woman escaped a kidnapper and/or was sick or injured. Although art is subjective, we thought it was a strange choice.
Additionally, the light fixture between our two beds was broken and hung limply and pointed at the wall, so it was pretty useless, and there was otherwise not much light in the bedroom.
It was nice to have a pool and there was a good amount and variety of seating types, both in the shade and in the sun. When we arrived, however, there were no pool towels so we had to wait until they were replenished. It seemed a bit odd they couldn't manage this better since it seems pretty predictable the pool would be in heavy use on a hot afternoon on a Saturday. Also, the water was rather cloudy, which felt a bit unsettling because we were unsure what was causing this.
Another strange issue was the one of the elevators kept "acting up" throughout our stay. At one point, we parked in the underground parking garage and this elevator was at the parking garage level. We got inside and pressed the button for the lobby, but the elevator door just partially closed and reopened over and over. It could not close all the way or take us up to the lobby. We couldn't push the button to call an alternate elevator because the system already believed an elevator was available on this level. There was a telephone in the elevator lobby to call for assistance, but we tried it and it was broken! We were left wandering around the parking garage looking for stairs, which were nearby but kind of hidden and not well marked with directional signage. The climb from P2 to the lobby was rather lengthy. Luckily, my family is in good shape. I can't imagine what anyone would have done down there if they were elderly or disabled. I think they ought to make sure that help phone is functional and add some directional signage for the stairs.
All of this being said, it is possible we would stay here again if we couldn't find a similar suite at another hotel because the 2-queen 1-bedroom with balcony worked so well for us. Also, given the other reviews are mostly very positive, it is possible our experience was very unusual. Although most of the above issues were more annoying than terrible, we were just a bit disappointed given the high reviews--maybe our expectations were too high.
We had a really great time here. The rooms were lovely and well laid out. Everyone working there was friendly and helpful. The fitness center was excellent. The food at breakfast and the lobby restaurant was great. But the art was weird and disturbing. Everyone in our group mentioned how weird it was.
Location
Perfect hotel for sightseeing and central to Rockies. Hotel staff very welcoming . Front desk very helpful. Nice big rooms that are very clean. Overall great stay.
Breakfast at Embassy Suites is always excellent and the two rooms are ideal when me and my wife or childhood friend are staying. Loved the free parking with easily accessible lot
The main room with sofa bed was a bit small compared to other Embassy Suites
Room was hood size. Nice breakfast.
Had trouble getting washcloths. Had a restaurant charge added to room that wasn’t made by us. Have to call business office Monday to clear up.
Best hotel in the area - Bo, Temple, Kieth & Owen took care of me my entire stay. I’ve tried other hotels in the area and this is by far the best gym and bar scene. Thank you for having me.
Property was nice
The staff were incompetent and did not listen to simple requests, for example, “ Please have room service clean my room.” And they did not
This Embassy is gorgeous, clean, friendly & in an excellent location. We enjoyed this hotel very much & hated to leave! Beds are comfortable, breakfast is delicious with a good selection. Social hour is great with munchies provided & wonderful cocktails. Every front desk employee and manager were helpful, kind, patient and efficient.
Everything was good except that some of the accessories in the room is old and needs update.
Breakfast and happy hour was excellent and the staff was really helpful and friendly
