Prijs kwaliteit sloeg nergens op veel te duur voor wat je krijgt.
Room was clean and well decorated, pool and breakfast area was nice with some beautiful views. The breakfast selection was great but everything that was pre-cooked was not hot (including baked beans) - which was disappointing. The staff on reception were friendly, welcoming and helpful but in the restaurant, bar and pool side a little slow with food and drink requests. Would say a generous 5 star hotel!
We had the most amazing and tailored stay at Torel Avantgarde in Porto. It was our first time and I am sure we will be back. Not only were the staff super kind and welcoming, they also gave us recommendations for food and sights around the city. No request was too much. And the view... Beyond imaginable! Thanks to everyone that made our stay so perfect!

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, die Lage gut.
Sehr kleines Zimmer, Dusche im Camping Format, keine Seife am Waschbecken, Toilettenpapier ohne Halterung, Flecken auf dem Waschtisch und Boden um die Toilette, stark verfleckte Teppiche im Gang im 1. Stock. Billige „Kunst“ im Zimmer, obwohl das Hotel mit echter Kunst und sehr individuellen Zimmern wirbt.
Kurz: für das Gebotene ist der Preis viel zu hoch.

Un hôtel boutique atypique vraiment sympa et très bien placé. On a bien aimé l’accueil, le décor, le coin piscine et la vue. Le petit-déjeuner était délicieux avec un choix varié. Dans l’ensemble une très belle expérience.
On était étonné de l’état du tapis dans le couloir qui avait de nombreuses tâches et qui donnait malheureusement une mauvaise impression. Le spa, le bassin et l’espace jardin n’étaient pas extrêmement bien entretenus.
From the moment we stepped out of the taxi, we were warmly welcomed with a drink and genuine hospitality. The level of service throughout our stay was exceptional, with a clear focus on ensuring our comfort and happiness.
We stayed in the “Charlie Chaplin” room, which offered stunning views over the Douro River in Porto—truly a highlight of our visit.
Breakfast was equally enjoyable, not only for the varietal food but also for the beautiful views over the city. The staff were attentive and made sure every detail was taken care of.
The pool area was nice and relaxing, providing a perfect place to unwind.
We ended up staying at this hotel due to unforeseen circumstances, as our original hotel was not yet finished. In hindsight, it turned out to be a wonderful surprise.
Overall, the outstanding service across all staff members made this a true five-star experience.

I had originally booked a stay at Lenscape Coterie, but that hotel didn't make its announced opening in time. So I was instead re-booked to Torel Avantgarde and also upgraded to a suite. I stayed at the hotel for three nights and it was a pleasant experience.
Very good service from the staff from the moment I checked in. The room had more than enough space for me, and the bed was very comfortable. Really peaceful breakfast area (with possibilities of sitting outdoors) and a nice selection of good quality food on offer. I also invited a couple of friends for lunch and we were happy with both the food and service.
I didn't try any of the pools (one outdoors and one indoors) nor the spa, so can't comment on those.
The hotel is located just a few minutes walk from the Clerigos tower.
I could easily recommend this hotel for anyone planning to stay in Porto.
We found Torel Avant-garde a fabulous place to stay. Our accommodations, the restaurants and the location were just what we were looking for. Close to town but quiet and easily accessible. The staff were professional and extremely willing to help with whatever we needed.
It was beautiful place to stay!
Especially I really enjoyed the outside view by the window :)
