We would like to sincerely thank the entire team for making our stay so special.

Everything was simply perfect. The room was beautiful, the swimming pool and the jacuzzi were absolutely incredible, and the view was breathtaking. We truly enjoyed every moment and created memories that we will never forget.

A very special thank you for the outstanding organization of the marriage proposal. Everything was prepared with such care, professionalism, and incredible attention to detail. We especially appreciated the discretion of the staff, which allowed the surprise to remain a complete secret until the very last moment. It could not have been more perfect.

Your kindness, dedication, and exceptional service made this one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. Thank you again to everyone involved for helping create such an unforgettable moment.

Excellent until we Left
Pros:

The property was very nice with a fantastic view over the Douro River

Cons:

I left a pair of Paul Smith swim shorts in the room, we were getting an early train to Vigo. I emailed the hotel and they said the swimwear had not been found. They were not in our luggage and so had been left behind, my fault, but the hotel denied that they had been left which just couldn’t have been true. But c’est la vie

A good base for a Porto stay
Pros:

This is a great hotel. It's in a great location, has great facilities and has amazing staff. The breakfast was also very good.

Good! But customer service from reservations before we arrived poor.
Pros:

My review is mixed. I felt like I got ripped off. A day after making my reservation, I wanted to add an extra night. They said I had to do that with the reservation desk, who didn’t get back to me for three weeks (after several emails and phone calls). By then, the rate more than doubled and they wouldn’t give me the rate I first got when I inquired. It was too late to cancel the other nights , so we did it anyway. But if I go back I won’t book with them again, because of the headache involved.

The service was very good. Everyone was very attentive. Breakfast was great! Rooms kind of small but had what we needed. Definitely glad we asked for restaurant recommendations, which were spot on what we wanted.

Super stay with fabulous views!
Pros:

Loved our stay. Fabulous hotel, staff that are super friendly and can't do enough for you plus great breakfast and lunches with an amazing view. Recommend the balcony suites. Room 34 was double aspect with lots of space. Would stay here again. We really enjoyed looking down into Porto and over to Gaia spotting everywhere we'd been. My only minor quibble....the pool area could do with some better padded single loungers.

Pros:

Third time here. Everytime I saw the staff changed but the mindset is still the same: lots of care. 100% flexible about your times. The hotel is beautiful in a unique way, the maisonette it’s just pure relax. Thank you, see you next time.

Beautiful view over the city and river but pricy.
Pros:

Breakfast was very good and a wide selection of food. The service was really good. Everybody were very friendly and every request was met with a smile. Location was ok - but a little further from the City Center than expected but it was ok to walk the 10-15 minutes to get to some stores and restaurants.

Cons:

I have a hard time believing this was a 5 star hotel and the value for money was much lower than expected. We had ants in one room (was taken care off after 4 hours), door handle falling off on another. We didn't enjoy the pool. Look better on the pictures and there were more pigeons using the pool than guests. The room service was not very punctual. For example one time we were told 15 min and it took an hour - and the order was wrong.
