Ampthill was where my craft glassblowing course was situated: I was hoping to go to Woburn Abby but it’s closed until ne
Pros:

Staff were lovely: rooms were newly refurbished and clean: a period timber and brick bedroom very tastefully decorated.

Cons:

Stairs no lift : stairs within the bedroom down to the en- suite: plus No onsite parking: parking close by but £10 per overnight fee charged.

Nice stay, would come again.
Pros:

Very nice, lively, good food, good value, friendly staff, large outside / garden area. Good breakfast. Good selection of beers and wines.

Cons:

Busy night so food service a little slow. Other guests were given keys to our room but when raised with staff there was an apology and compensation.

Excellent lication
Pros:

Excellent location. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff

Cons:

Staff at the outside were conversing with a customer and allowed themselves to be drawn into a discussion on how poor the food used to be... the staff member commented, that the food still wasn't that good 😕 personally we enjoyed the food and service.

We had a great stay. The staff were all lovely. Would definitely come again and recommend to friends
Pros:

Great location and lovely rooms

Cons:

The breakfast needs more choice of non cooked food and a choice of bread would be good.

Facilities good but would not eat here if have allergy
Pros:

Pleasant well decorated room with comfortable bed . Good shower and nice toiletries . Water and coffee machine

Cons:

Would not eat here if coeliac - the menu clearly states cannot guarantee no contamination but on asking was advise yes can cater for coeliac - 2hours 20 mins after breakfast I unfortunately discovered they clearly cannot - I had asked 3 times at breakfast if GF . Will not be eating in Acorn chain again . . Have communicated with hotel directly but as yet no response - again disappointing.

Started a family chapter here in 1969 and finished the chapter in 2026. It has always delivered
Pros:

Great breakfast. Bedroom beautifully decorated. Loved the retro radio, double armchair and sense of space. Arriving quite late and with 3 mins before the restaurant closed, the staff took the initiative to take my dinner order and place it on a table while I went to my room to drop my case. Great thinking from them.

Cons:

Rooms that border the road are a little noisy at night with truck traffic transiting through Ampthill when other traffic is not around. Dinner menu is limited on standard main course dishes.

Fantastic little Inn in a great location
Pros:

Very comfortable room and really great location in Ampthill. Walkable to local shopping and restaurants. The room way exceeded expectations! It looks to have been recently renovated and was very very well-appointed. Room and bathroom looked brand new and were very clean. Bed was comfy too. The downstairs pub staff were very friendly as well.

Cons:

The only cons I can think of were that the HVAC was very noisy throughout the night. The water pipes may be quite old since we able to hear water gurgling all night. That being said, it's certainly not a deal breaker and would definitely recommend this Inn.

Perfect location for our needs, lovely historic building managed with excellent service and staff.
Pros:

food was great (breakfast and evening meal), staff super attentive and helpful. room was quirky but nice, thank goodness for air conditioning. We live in deepest darkest North Devon with no major roads or street lighting so anything else seems noisy to us.

Cons:

nothing specific, parking is little challenging, but we figured it out.

A very comfortable pub with rooms.
Pros:

The room was very comfortable, particularly with air con, and very clean. The pub breakfast was excellent - you could choose whatever you wanted from the menu and it was delicious and high quality. The staff were very good.

Cons:

Nothing.
