Mikro Livadi Special Lodges - Has an Eco Salt water pool - 150m from the beach

We really enjoyed our stay at Mikro Livadi! We were very warmly welcomed by our hosts and Angelica was very friendly, had great advices for us and talked about the local traditions with us. That was what made our stay so special and relaxing. We can also recommend the restaurant, most of the vegetables were from the own garden and the dishes tasted deliciously!
The appartement was large and luminous and very clean. We especially enjoyed the large terrasse. We'll definitely come back :)

Mikro Livadi ist eine relativ neue, top-moderne und gepflegte Anlage mit 6 (?) Appartments. Eingebettet in einen schönen Garten mit Pool (für den es uns aber zu kühl war). Wir hatten jeden Morgen ein wunderbares Frühstück, mit frischem Orangensaft, Avocados und Tomaten, verschieden zubereiteten Eiern, Sandwiches mit Käse und Schinken, einen frischen Pfannkuchen, gefüllt mit Käse oder frischem Fenchel, köstlichem Käse... Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Und alles in hoher Qualität, zumeist aus dem eigenen Garten.
Dazu sitzt man wunderbar, überdacht und doch beinahe im Freien und schaut - im November - in den sonnigen Garten. Unsere Gastgeberfamilie hat sich rührend und stets aufmerksam um uns gekümmert, herzlich, ja liebevoll. Wir hatten mit dem Appartement Dafni ein großzügiges Appartment, modern eingerichtet, mit allem, was man braucht. Gekocht haben wir nicht, meist unterwegs gegessen.
Man kann sich aber unkompliziert am Morgen für den gleichen Tag zum Abendessen anmelden, was wir dreimal getan haben. Die Eltern kochen dann topfrisch verschiedene Gerichte aus denen man wählen kann. Wir haben das sehr genossen. So leckere und frische Calamari habe ich noch nirgends gegessen. Wir waren in der zweiten Novemberhälfte die einzigen Übernachtungsgäste, aber abends waren immer Gäste zum Essen da. Die gute Küche ist offensichtlich gut bekannt in der Gegend.
Wir hatten zwei wunderbare Wochen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. So herzlich sind wir noch nirgends empfangen, bekocht und versorgt worden. Zum Abschied haben wir sogar noch ein Care Paket mit einem großen Stück Käse, Honig und anderen Leckereien bekommen. Wir waren sprachlos. Und dann brachte die Mutter noch frische Avocados aus dem Garten! Herzlichen Dank an diese lieben Menschen!
Als Basis für die Erkundung von Westkreta ist die Lage sehr gut. Wir waren mehrmals in Rethymnon und in Chania, aber auch im Süden und im Hinterland, haben uns Museen und archäologische Ausgrabungen angeschaut.

מלון משפחתי מושלם, ממוקם בכפר קרוב לחוף נפלא. חצר מטופחת, בריכה נעימה, לצד מטע זיתים. המלון מנוהל על ידי משפחה מקסימה, שקיבלה אותנו ברוחב לב ונדיבות אין סופית. הדירות גדולות ומצוידות היטב. אני מאד ממליצה על המסעדה שלהם- מנות יווניות מסורתיות, גדולות מאד, הכל מוגש באהבה ונדיבות, את האוכל הם מכינים בעצמם, מתוצרת שהם מגדלים בגינה ובמטע. גם ארוחת הבוקר נפלאה. הרגשנו פשוט בבית. חופשה בלתי נשכחת. נשמח לחזור לשם.

The location was amazing in a quite part of the village, the rooms had all the amenities and appliances, very knit and clean. The owners were very friendly and nice, this is the famous Cretan hospitality that sticks to your heart and cannot forget the feeling!!

Die Gastfreundschaft der Gastgeber ist außergewöhnlich – man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und sauber, der Pool lädt zum Entspannen ein. Auch das Essen hat uns gut gefallen, und die Freundlichkeit der Gastgeber macht den Aufenthalt besonders.
Die Unterkunft liegt recht abgelegen, ein Auto ist daher unbedingt zu

The food was absolutely amazing and the hosts were wonderful people.

We can only say good things about our stay. Everyone was so kind and warm to us. Our room was perfect. The cleanliness was impeccable. The breakfast was abundant, fresh and delicious. One of the times we even got specialty cakes from one of the best spots in Rethymnon as a very sweet and generous gesture. We had some meals besides breakfast that were brought to our terrace and the food was a true Cretan experience. Absolutely delicious. We had a great time at the pool with the beautiful backdrop of olive trees which was just picture perfect. We would like to thank Mr Aetos, Mrs Malamatenia, Angelika and Natasha for your kindness and just making us feel like we were part of your family. We took all of you in our hearts. Thank you for everything and we wish you the best.

Mr. Aetos, Mrs. Malamatenia, Angeliki, and Natasha welcomed us as if we were long-lost family. Every meal was a journey — dreamy dishes crafted from ingredients picked fresh from their own fields, each bite carrying the warmth of their care. It was, without doubt, the finest home-cooked food I’ve ever tasted.

But it wasn’t just the flavors — it was the people. Kind, open-hearted, and generous in spirit, they turned our stay into something unforgettable. Our children woke up each day eager for the surprises that awaited them, and when the time came to leave, none of us truly wanted to go.

Die Lage der Anlage liegt nur 150m vom Strand entfernt. Leckeres, traditionelles Essen im eigenen Restaurant möglich. Oma kocht selbst.

This was such a lovely, peaceful location! The rooms were very clean and well equipped for any needs during our families stay. It is a family owned business and they went above and beyond to take care of us. They were so friendly and warm and made it feel like a home away from home. The food was really from farm to table and it was very delicious! We would heavily recommend to any thinking of visiting.

The staff are a family and they are SO kind and accommodating. They brought us dinner to our terrace, ask us what we want to eat ahead of time, and have great recommendations. They also were just very sweet people I can’t recommend this place enough.

Wonderful hosts, spacious and modern apartment, surrounded by olive trees and only a few steps to the beach. Very nice pool area. Farm to fork restaurant with great tastes. Would come back!

The property is gorgeous. Lovely views of the mountain with a boutique restaurant and lovely lush garden. Very close to the sea as well. Best of both worlds
