Very helpful friendly staff.
Bed mattress very soft!
Great location for visiting family. Grounds are amazing, good value, very good breakfast
TV in room didn’t work despite complaining 3 times. The gardens were not well maintained which is a shame as they wouid be spectacular.
Grounds, location and hotel were very nice and very quiet place to rest after a very busy day.
Unfortunately, other than at reception, it came across that other members of staff didn’t want to be part of your experience. This was a shame as the location and hotel was fantastic (apart from a glass en-suite which with the curtains open looked on to an overflow car park.
Could have been a lot more and hopefully this review will help build what could be a very enjoyable experience to stay
Nice big room, comfy bed, breakfast was great. Lots of plug sockets in room, including each side of the bed.
Not very soundproof, noise from TV, people, kettle next door. Only a small TV in room.
In a quiet location, lovely setting and helpful staff. Toilet in public areas was clean. Breakfast quality was fine and plentiful.
It is dated, carpets, window frames need attention! The toilet did not flush. The bathroom.panel is clear glass. Even with a spouse people do tend to like 'private' space' when toileting. It also must be considered it may be adolescent opposite sex genders or just a friend where shower and toileting could make them feel comfortable. We were not told there was no Sunday dinner. No TV remote control. Really the management need the owners to intervene, kick some butt to raise standards and.to upsell as no encouragement was provided. Mayybe complacency is an issue.
Very, very clean. Large room with a comfortable bed. Exceptionally friendly, caring and helpful staff - I was ill during our three day stay and my wife had to go the wedding we were meant to go to together - fortunately not our own - on her own. Very reasonable breakfast. Beautiful gardens.
When I thought I’d left something behind and subsequently rang up, Jamie went to look for it. I then found it…
All in all, outstanding value for money.
A couple of fittings a little tired.
The bell at Reception to call a taxi is useless. However, a very kind staff member assisted my wife to get an alternative, exceptionally reliable, taxi for the out and return trip.
Staff were courteous, breakfast was good, the atmosphere was pleasant and the garden was lovely.
The room was too warm. However a fan was provided on request.
Lovely spacious room very comfortable bed. Peaceful
Eggs at buffet become hard sat there too long.
Lovely view from the window and the breakfast was very good for a buffet style.
Once we had arrived we left our bags in our room.
We came back and noticed our bags in the manager’s room behind reception. We were then told we had been put in the wrong room. It is the fact our belongings were removed without being told which I felt was unacceptable and upsetting and we were offered a complimentary drink, which we did not accept.
We then got in our new room and there was no tv remote or tv ariel attached.
When we were checking out we told the staff who explained they knew there was not a remote and ariel as they are replacing them.
The food we ordered by room service was very good and most enjoyable, but breakfast was an altogether different experience, buffet was mostly lukewarm, coffee machine out of order, dirty utensils, dirty cups etc. Very dissapointing. Hotel in need of good manager, distinct lack of control overall from present management.😠
The receptionist staff were surlery bordering on insulting, arrived a little early, just wanted to see if it ok to wait, but before we could speak told no check in's before 3.
Room had overpowering smell of chlorine, and visable signs of attempts to scrub mould away, bathroom had glass walls, very disturbing, more like a voyeur 's paradise if that's what floats your boat. Shower walls and ceiling had peeling paint, no extraction fan working so no shocks they have a damp problem. Room had laid empty for a while, as very bad build up dust. 😠
Not a lot
Walking into the bathroom after booking in and seeing pee in the toilet. Thick layer of dust on the table
Very convenient location for my work over the Weekend.
Friendly staff and excellent buffet style breakfast and good choice of evening meal.
