Location is ideal for the main area of Blackpool beach/ Pleasure Beach theme park etc.
It’s a quiet road set back from the main beach road of Blackpool, but just one road back so you could walk to a lot that Blackpool has to offer if you are adventurous and fit/ enjoy walking.
There is a lift inside so helpful if you have mobility issues however, do not use the stairs at all if you do have mobility difficulties as they are giving away in places so feels quite scary to try to ascend/ descend on them.
The one employee/ owner/ person we met after calling them on the mobile phone (no one is based on reception) was friendly and helpful. There is a convenience store around 5 minutes walk away if you need anything (as the hotel facilities are pretty much closed). There are 5 parking spaces outside of the hotel but it was quite easy for us to find on street parking.
The hotel is very tired. The rooms are all very dated with one very small desk lamp (like from the 80’s, with a bendy plastic neck) as the only softer lighting in the room otherwise you have to have about 12 down-lighters on at all times. The blinds for the windows are vertical blinds with many of them missing or broken/ damaged. The first room we were given, by the friendly person that came to reception (there appears to be no one on reception as there is just a board with two mobile numbers to call), was on the first floor and the door lock was damaged, appearing like it has been broken into previously. As we entered the room, there were to high up small windows which you couldn’t see out of as they were frosted. You could not see out of them at head height anyway. We returned to reception and called the mobile number again as, as mentioned, no one is on reception. The man immediately provided us with another room, located next door to the first room, however other than the two windows, there was little improvement. The bathrooms have been refurbished at some point however the rest of the room lets it down so much. We don’t like to have all the “big lights” on until bed but there was no alternative. The pillows did not have pillow protectors on them, with brown marks and slobber marks over them. The carpets were so dirty, to the point I found my flip flops from the summer still in the car so used them the entire stay so as to not have to walk on the carpets.
The bathroom basin tap dripped all night despite our efforts to stop this.
I would say, in our opinion, this is ok for a contractor to get their head down (with your own pillow) but not much else. There was a bar mentioned when booking however, on arrival, there was a sign saying it was under refurbishment, but it looked more like they chose to close it after the summer, which was disappointing.
Nice enough for the money we paid. The staff were really friendly and the breakfast was good. Nice to have a balcony with seating available. No noise from other customers.
The room seemed a little tired with worn carpet, in need of new decor and the bed could do with a new mattress.
Nice room.. Plenty big enough.. issue with WiFi, but once sorted all was good.. Decent location and even managed to park up..

A bit far out from bars and entertainment, and a bit slow bringing the buffet breakfast out dribs and drabs, but overall we'll worth the money

Water in the toilet was leaking .the thought going to the toilet ment you will get wet feet

The room was not serviced as said it would be (pls note no do not disturb post was put on the door) we wanted them to sort out the leak in the toilet
