Hotel - Steakhouse Cheminée

It’s an old place and it 10-15 m walk from Train Station. With luggage it’s hard to walk to the hotel. You have to take a Electric taxi

it is around 5 mins walk from the station to the hotel, the location is kind of at the edge of town, so I stayed away from the noise of the city centre. there is a river next to it, so it is relaxing to hear the sound of the river at night. I stayed at the highest floor of the hotel with a balcony of a view of Matterhorn. however there is no elevator at this hotel, so it would be not that convenient for people with huge and heavy suitcase. I still think it is worth it as I could see Matterhorn when I wake up every morning during my stay.

Clean, modern, convenient, mountain views, included breakfast. Dinner available during winter months. No elevator for 4 floors. Excellent overall.

We chose to stay here because members of my family had stayed here 6 years earlier and loved it. We however did not have quite as amazing of an experience although still enjoyed our time and LOVED the view from our balcony. The woman checking us in did not seem very friendly nor welcoming and asked to charge us for the room again before I showed her my receipt proving we had already paid online.
The rooms seemed better and more updated than the pictures reflected and all of the accommodations were clean and comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay. Close to everything. Check-in and check out was a breeze. The young couple that runs the hotel were so friendly! Loved the interior. Would stay again!!

A 5 minutos caminando de la estación de tren, habitación cómoda, vista espectacular a la montaña, al desayuno le falta un poco de variedad pero aceptable, restaurantes y súper para comprar alimentos muy cerca

Extraordinary! We were blessed with luck and good fortune. The last room in Oslo was particularly — fortuitous at the Karl Johan Hotel! Thank you! We were upgraded to a particularly splendiferous room with a fantastic view of the Congress and the park below! Wow!

Very convenient location, only a short walk from the train station. Relatively affordable (for Zermatt).

Nice and clean property. Nothing fancy but well kept. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Our room on 3rd floor provided good mountain view. Please note that propert doesn’t have elevator so if that is your requirement then you need to look somewhere else but for us it was perfectly fine as we travel with backpacks

The property was very close to the station and being in front of the cable car going to Sunnegga. Although we didn’t go it is very convenient. Our room had a perfect view of the Matterhorn. Walking distance to all including the gorner gorge.
Breakfast was very good- can even order pancakes and good selection for a continental one.

We were lucky to have a good weather so we were able to go to forget and saw Matterhorn very clearly.

Great and really convenient location. Our room has incredible view of the Matterhorn in the Balcony. Everything is good and the hotel is opposite the one of the cable car station.
