I liked the view and the bathroom. I also liked the ambiance of the hotel, it was really cute.
The bed and pillows were not comfortable. I don't like the ceiling .
Hotel was very clean. Ambience was amazing, cute and quaint. Staff showed great customer service. I will stay there again.
Really nice room. Hotel decor set a great vibe. Staff was excellent, and happy hour at the bar was a great start to the evening.
Great stay from July 17 -20. This was my 2nd stay this year; previously stayed April 3-6. On both occasions, James, at the front desk was exceptional. He always greeted us whether coming or going and was available with suggestions at all times. Also, Tegan, the bartender, makes an outstanding margarita. We were hoping that she was still there when we visited the 2nd time. The valets were also great.
Walking distance to many eateries. Helpful staff.
The evening bar was unable to make the New Orleans drink the hurricane. They didn’t have the right ingredients. The breakfast food was OK but nothing special. it was 100° outside, but there was no ice cream available only a small ice cream sandwich.
The location and atmosphere
The air went out in room had to get a fan brought in room.
Cambria was beautiful and clean. We loved the decor and the bed was the comfiest ever slept in. Breakfast and bar was delicious. The staff most of all made us feel special. From the valet team to Kayla at check in to the bartender, the staff never skipped a beat in making our stay stress free and relaxed.
I booked the Cambria because it said it was a 4 star hotel, I've stayed at a few other locations, and because of the cool pics that I saw online! And although the hotel has a lot of potential visually, I just wasn't ready for the way it smelled when I got there! It's like something's going on with the plumbing because it smells like mildew/ sewage, and it hits your nose immediately, as soon as you enter the lobby! I didn't even want to have a drink at the bar because the smell is very off putting! I equate it to seeing a very handsome man online, then meeting him in person and he smells like a back alley garbage can! Another reason for my low rating is the security. When traveling solo, I want to be in a hotel that makes me feel secure, and Most 4 star hotels have excellent security measures in place. First night, I come back late and security is in the lobby sleep. I got ready to leave to catch my early morning flight at about 4am, I came down and the security was knocked out! There's a little sitting area with comfy looking chairs by the check in and this is the second time during my visit I've come downstairs and seen her not nodding off, but slumped over sleep- like she was at home!! I mean what's the point of having a security guard? What could she possibly be securing, when she's out cold? Lord help them if there's a real emergency, everybody's gonna be cooked! Also they need to do a little better with cleaning the rooms that they allow animals in because my first accessibility room had so much fur and smelled like an animal. I'm allergic so my allergies went crazy! I went and asked to change rooms immediately. I feel like only certain rooms should be allotted to folks with animals especially when it comes to these types of rooms. Oh and make sure you ask for a room up top because otherwise the views can be awful as well.. There's quite a few scary looking buildings around, and my first room gave me a nasty view of them.. Some of the staff were nice, but this definitely was not a 4 star experience! Needless to say, I won't stay here next time I'm visiting Nola.
0/10 – Absolutely Terrible Experience
Save your money and book somewhere else. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.
During my stay, I was moved to three different rooms on three different floors because the air conditioning wasn’t working. Unfortunately, none of the rooms had properly functioning A/C. I repeatedly brought the issue to the attention of the front desk, but they showed little concern and offered no real sense of urgency.
After spending the first night sweating, I reached my limit on the second night. An engineer came to my room and spent nearly two hours trying to troubleshoot the problem. He even admitted that the air conditioning issues had been happening frequently throughout the hotel. After all that time, the only solution the hotel could offer was a box fan. That’s unacceptable, especially when guests are paying for a comfortable stay.
As if that wasn’t enough, the third room wasn’t even properly prepared. There were no clean towels and no toilet paper in the bathroom, forcing me to request basic necessities after already being inconvenienced multiple times.
The lack of maintenance, poor housekeeping, and complete indifference from the staff turned what should have been a relaxing stay into a frustrating experience. If a hotel knows it has ongoing air conditioning problems, it shouldn’t continue renting those rooms without informing guests or offering appropriate accommodations.
If I could give this hotel 0 stars, I would. Save yourself the disappointment and spend your money at a hotel that values its guests and provides the basic level of comfort and service that every customer deserves.
The location was really good for the price. Valet was also very friendly.
There weren't any trash bags in any of the trash cans, felt bad putting trash in them.
Great location close to everything we needed we stay again. Dennis and Jaden were the best!
Room was spacious with fabulous linens. The view from the 7th floor was pleasant and the staff service were amazing. James has great suggestions for local spots to eat and explore. I would definitely stay again.
