Huzur, rahatlık ve temizlik
Pros:

Çok temiz. Odalar her gün temizlendi. Kahvaltı gayet yeterli. Konum Edinburgh'un dışında ama otelin önündeki otobüs durağını kullanarak merkeze çok rahat gidebiliyorsunuz. Arabanızı otelin otoparkına bırakarak Edinburgh'u gezebilmek çok büyük kolaylık ve rahatlık.

Quiet green surroundings, a litte isolated without a car.
Pros:

Very comfortable rooms with the usual Courtyard glass door shower area thing.

The grounds (a University Campus) are very quiet, but it is quite tedious to reach the property on public transport. We used UB at around 28GBP per trip.

Cons:

The blackout curtains didn't reach the floor of the room which would have been an issue if you were staying there because of EDI airport.

The signage showing the location of the hotel inside the University Campus is insufficient. You would never find the place without Sat Nav.

It was convenient. The price was a little steep.
Pros:

The attendant at the front desk rearranged our rooms so that we could be near our daughter. The restaurant was good. The rooms were clean and well decorated, not too worn.

Cons:

The price.

Good hotel, though with a few minor issues
Pros:

The staff was very helpful and professional - there was a small issue with my room, as apparently using one of the plug sockets tripped the breakers and they fixed the issue quickly (I'd been offered a new room if it wasn't fixable).

The room was generally comfortable and sizable, and with good amenities (I appreciated a decent selction of tea/coffee). It has a decent sized desk, which is useful for work travel. Mind you, the hotel is outside of the city, but it provides pretty much the only close accomodation choice for visiting Heriot Watt University (and the area is quite nice for walks and has decent connections to the city if needed).

Cons:

The hotel restaurant is quite uneven - while some positions on the menu are quite alright, I think I've had one of the most disappointing salads there (and it is the only catering choice within walking distance pretty much, given the location, aside from the Student Union pub).

As much as I appreciate the helpful staff, the fact that the electrical outlet tripped the breakers is an issue that should be fixed. I also question the choice of glass doors to the bathroom - both because it may not be ideal if you're sharing the room, but also because the door was quite annoying to operate, with hinges making very loud cracking sounds.
