Oasis Kathmandu Hotel

Breakfast was great and in a great location. The manager was super helpful with giving us the best ways to move around Nepal and what to do in other towns. All of the staff are lovely and very accomodating.

During the booking process, the hotel mentioned that airport pickup or drop was available, so as I was arriving very late at night, I requested a pickup. However, the hotel replied that since it would be around midnight, they could not provide airport pickup and instead offered to drive me back to the airport. As a guest arriving in a new city late at night, I was already nervous and had specifically requested assistance with airport transportation. Unfortunately, the response did not feel very helpful or welcoming.

I was given a room on a very high floor, which quite a bit of walking. traveling alone but was given a large three bedroom room It felt somewhat uncomfortable and disappointing rather than thoughtful.

The breakfast selection as a good I was particularly disappointed with the paratha, which was dry and did not taste fresh or traditional.

Another issue was the atmosphere during breakfast. A manager or owner was sitting at the next table with a group and having a very loud conversation, which disturbed the peaceful breakfast environment. Unfortunately, there did not seem to be much consideration for other guests who were trying to enjoy a quiet meal.
Overall, while there were some positive aspects to the stay, the late-night arrival experience, room allocation, and lack of consideration for guests' comfort during breakfast made the stay less enjoyable than I had expected.

The place is great. Breakfast was delicious and varied. The neighbourhood is quiet and everybody was kind and helpful.
I don't know how much they are paying to Ranjit, but they should pay him more, because he was an amazing help at 4:00 am, when he offered me fruit and carried my heavy suitcase. It was a pitty I had run out of cash, because I would have given him a nice tip.

Hotel fantástico para pasar unos días en el barrio de Thamel pero sin el caos del tráfico de la zona.
El personal del hotel es súper amable y servicial!

Volvimos a reservar este hotel porque nos encantó la zona en la que está ubicado y el precio nos pareció más que razonable para todo lo que ofrece.

Love the stay

Todo. La ubicación del hotel es perfecta. Estás en Thamel pero sin el ruido y el ajetreo del tráfico de este barrio. Además en la misma calle hay un supermercado y una oficina para cambiar dinero. El personal del hotel no puede ser más atento. Están dispuestos en todo momento a ayudarte en lo que sea necesario. Las instalaciones del hotel están de maravilla. Todas las habitaciones tienen aire acondicionado y el baño tiene la ducha separada, cosa que en Nepal se agradece. Tuvimos la oportunidad de cenar en el restaurante y la calidad-precio es insuperable.
Es un hotel altamente recomendable!!!

Todo en el hotel es maravilloso, especialmente la atención por parte del personal. Ofrecen un desayuno buffet muy rico y variado. Es una muy buena opción para pasar unos tranquilos días en Thamel

Great location, amazing friendly staff.

I checked in very late on 31 July - almost around midnight, and Ranjet was incredibly helpful in arranging my room and making sure everything was sorted.
What touched me the most was that he noticed from my passport that my birthday was on 1 August. Just after midnight, he called my room to wish me a happy birthday. It was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture, and I was genuinely touched.
By the way, his Chinese is also very good, which made communication even easier.

Ranjit is very accommodating and the rest of the team. Location wise is perfect if you want to see a lot of places in Kathmandu. Room is very spacious and has comfy bed. Downside is they don’t have elevator but someone will help you to carry your luggage to your room. I definitely recommend this place to stay if you’re planning to visit Kathmandu.
