We stayed here for 2 nights during the Movement Music Festival. The hotel is overpriced for what it offers. The location is perfection though. Staff at the registration desk were slightly rude. Service at the candy bar was so poor that we left. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Bed was great. Will probably try a different downtown location for our next trip downtown.
The ambiance of the Siren, is exactly how the pictures are. I enjoyed the movement weekend vibe, with the line up of Djs in the lobby that played the entire weekend. No complaints at all!! The bonus was the Candy Bar!!!
Well-appointed and charming hotel with an excellent location. This was a wonderful staycation choice for a sleep-in and pamper weekend.
Not a thing.
Just loved every interaction and moment. Would love to come back for more of the Siren experience. Very hip vibe
Cleanliness, staff, location
Rooms lacked storage, coffee maker
Complimentary bottle of water would be nice
Great location, steps away from Comerica Park and Ford Field. Room had great views. You can hear a lot of street noise and hallway noise, but it wasn’t something that bothered us. Staff were friendly as well.
Thank you Bill, Rachel, and front desk team for hosting! We had an amazing time together as a team and it was in large part due to your attention and care. Form the history chat to the check-ins throughout the day ensuring we had everything we needed; your professionalism and kindness was so appreciated.
The Siren is a chic boutique hotel with an attractive front lobby containing an excellent coffee bar. The room was small, yet comfortable, modern, and pretty. The staff are very friendly and most helpful. Valet service was very good. The location is fabulous: minutes walk from Comerica Park and Ford Field and in the center of it all downtown.
Small room, no tub, no safe.
We arrived 30 minutes after the check in time of 3:00 p.m., assuming we’d be able to head to our room to get ready for dinner and the concert we were attending. Unfortunately our room wasn’t ready until nearly 5:00 p.m. We were supposed to have included drink vouchers with our booking through Expedia, but even after requesting them, thinking we could use those while waiting for our room, the receptionist did not recognize the promotion. So instead, we shopped in the sweats we wore to travel in and still made it to the concert in time, but I can say that I will not likely book here again. It wasn’t worth the cost.
Not your typical chain hotel. Vintage decor. Roaring 20's era. Comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Great location for walking to sporting events.
The candy bar was a nice touch.
Had to wait over an hour to checkin.
Stayed at The Siren Hotel and overall it’s a beautiful space. The design is stunning and the location is a 10/10—perfect for walking around downtown.
My only issue was the room placement. I requested to be moved upon arrival because our room was right next to the elevator, and I already knew that would be a problem (my daughter and I are both light sleepers). Unfortunately, that request was denied. Throughout our stay, we had to deal with constant noise—people talking loudly, luggage rolling by, and even employees on the phone. It made it hard to fully rest.
I do believe there may have been other rooms available, especially for a Sunday and Monday stay, so that part felt a bit disappointing. Next time, I’ll be more firm about avoiding rooms near high-traffic areas like elevators.
That said, the hotel itself is gorgeous and the location really is top-tier. I’d give it a solid 8/10—would’ve easily been a 10 with a quieter room.
It was really nice to stay in a hotel which was not a generic chain style. The ambience and decor were fabulous.
The bar was not open while we were there.
We stopped into Detroit for a night for a concert at the Fillmore. We chose this location for its proximity to the venue, I was genuinely awestruck at the beautiful detail and the pleasant staff, the room was small but it had everything we needed for a nights stay.
Great location across the street from the stadiums, Fox Theater. opera House, etc. Multiple venues are in walking distance. Great decor. Late night bar was packed and vibrant (traveled with a minor so I couldn't partake)
Beautiful experience, beautiful people. Hope to come back soon to Detroit some day. Each area at the siren from the front desk to the housekeeping, etc. we just fantastic.
Had a great time at The Siren, mostly due to the lovely staff! Yes, the aesthetics and vibes were good, but the staffs recommendation and hospitality is what would have me return!
