The phone in our room did not work.
The beds were so hard and uncomfortable!!
Housekeeping entered the room at 9am without knocking.
The fridge was so tiny and full of “for purchase” items we couldn’t put anything in it.
The location was the best thing about this hotel but everything else was the quality of a very low budget motel.
Don’t waste your money!!!

Friendly Staff. Nice coffee shop. Comfortable room.
Hope you’re an early riser. The very loud train starts coming through at 6am.
I liked this hotel until I got to my room. I booked the loft suite, which I think is their best room class, at a price of over $550 (before tax etc). I’ve never been in federal prison but I feel like this room may have been similar to where Martha Stewart lived for a while. Also kind of reminded me of a crappy college dorm. The lack of natural light, brown everything and ceilings that were painted dark made me feel just yucky. Whoever the designer was for these rooms maybe was playing a cruel joke and is having the last laugh? I don’t get it. Please don’t stay here.
The bed sheets had stains
Location was good, room was nice although the bathroom was sooooooo dark.
Bathroom too dark, no water out for guests, price was way too much. Prices deliberately increased for that weekend… gouging people.
I was shocked that the only room I was offered smelled bad and had three big stains on the floor. I was offered the opportunity to move rooms the next day. However, when I returned to the desk to follow up, they claimed that they called me to offer a room, and I did not pick up. Yet I showed them my phone log which indicated that I had not received a call or voicemail from them. It felt like they were trying to gaslight me. The management handled this very poorly.
Great location
Cant think of anything
We enjoyed our 2 night weekend stay at The Emily Hotel. In town to see Cardi B, we desired a hotel near the United Center with dining options in building and plenty around, amazing customer service, walking areas, and geared towards adults. The Emily Hotel did just that.
We greatly appreciate our hostess accomoding us for Sunday morning brunch. We didn't have a reservation but we able to be served quickly with refreshing conversation while waiting.
Shocked by the rooms. Spiderwebs in corner of bathroom, no light, plywood on ceiling and tables. Bed was super uncomfortable. The tv was mounted on the side of the bed so had to turn to side to watch or sit up and turn. There was a makeup light but the cord had to be stretched across the counter to plug it in. Whoever designed these rooms should not continue. Not what I expected for $350 per night. The only good thing was the location and the drinks at the bar/coffee. Will not be going back there.
We went to Chicago for a family wedding and the Emily Hotel was one of the places recommended to stay. Looks like a cool hotel so we selected it. Overall, the experience was good, but it is definitely a minimalist design to the hotel. The only chair in the room was one wire chair, so not particularly comfortable for any extended seating.
We also had no liquid soap in the soap dispenser and housekeeping neglected to refill it. After our fourth stop at the front desk to request a refill it was finally refilled so definitely a "miss" there.
We went to sit outside one morning after an overnight rainfall, and the staff had dried off the outdoor seating for the restaurant area, but hadn't dried off the seating area for the hotel guests. When we sat in the restaurant area, we were told that we had to leave because all the tables were reserved so we ended up drying off the seats ourselves. Another "miss".
They do have a outdoor theater on the sixth floor, which looks like a cool venue, although we didn't have the opportunity to experience it.
On Friday morning, our first morning at the hotel we were awakeened at 6 o'clock by construction noise in the hotel. I've never heard of construction work starting at 6 AM, and we had no idea that would be construction underway. Fortunately, the rest of our stay was over a weekend.
Finally, the neighborhood is extremely noisy at night - loud cars, loud music and crowds of people in the street. I guess if you're in your 20s and you want to stay out all night it would be fine, but it definitely didn't enhance our experience.
Van luo Frankie and. Manager Chris your guys are great.
We had great experience and we but good news
Thank you guys 🙏
loved the simple but very well laid out rooms - lots of shelves and places to hang things. also LOVE that the windows open. that for me is huge. Ditto the coffee shop downstairs. Staff was terrific. As was the location - so many good restaurants nearby. We meant to use the gym but never did but we did peek in and it is a pretty decent size for a hotel gym and love that they have pelotons!
would have loved a better breakfast option on the weekend. full brunch didn't start til 11 and we are early risers so all that was available were some pretty basic things at the cafe. prices were VERY high on the weekend. I loved my simple low-key room but it should NOT have been almost $600/night!
Everything. But top of the line is the location, close to many restaurants and cafes and how Personalized the service was. Their attention to detail was exceptional. And they really were helpful in giving their best effort in attending to our request. The room was clean and neat.
Nothing
The Good - Great location, Clean, quiet, great beds and responsive staff.
The Bad - The minimalist look of the room had all the charm of a submarine. Plywood furniture and pegboard doors. One small chair in a room with a King sized bed (had to ask for another). Bed was on chrome rail frame reminded me of a dormitory. No sink in bathroom. If you needed to use the toilet at night you needed to turn on the light in the sleeping area to wash your hands.
Location ok. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Service in restaurant slow but food good.
