Lovely property refurbished to a high standard
I wouldn’t call the spa facilities a spa, the pool is extremely shallow-charging a lot extra to use the outside spa bath is a bit cheeky.
Absolutely out of this world
Absolutely nothing i didn't want to leave
Stunning & clean
The price
Everything, the staff are amazing, the room was clean and quiet and the spa facilities were good.
There was no negatives for me, it was beautiful.
How friendly the staff was and how clean
The pool is only open 5-10 when u arrive and from 7am but you have to leave by 11 and it’s £25 just for n hour in the hot tub and when I was booking it didn’t mention on here that the food isn’t open a Monday and Tuesday so a bit gutted
Such a beautiful place! Big rooms and the property itself is just beautiful. Just wish we could’ve stayed and enjoyed it longer!
Lanelay Hall is a gorgeous old building with beautiful rooms. All staff were very attentive throughout our stay - which was in the middle of a big heatwave. There were 2 electric fans in my room, to help me stay as cool as possible. Water was readily available for anyone needing to top up. The spa was very relaxing, and massage treatment lovely. The food in the Blok restaurant was excellent - it's clearly well-known for its steak, but as 2 pescatarians, we can say that the fusion of flavours and ingredients was delicious. Breakfast too was very good. We had a delightful mother and daughter stay. Diolch!
This is a lovely hotel and spa. I came for three days to go mountain biking in Wales. The staff were friendly and helpful in storing my bikes overnight. The spa was a great way to recover after a day of biking. The food was great too.
Strange location in middle of housing estate but very pleasant grounds. Achieves a chilled out atmosphere - ambient music wherever you go. Character features but finish does not always quite hit the mark. Large rooms, but our dressing table was damaged and some sockets were quite inaccessible. Most staff were very good, but an our waitress for the evening meal was unprofessional / unhelpful. The food was good.
Value for money is very good, as long as you check charges - we were presented with a bill that included two breakfasts that we hadn’t had. With a few changes this place could be great.
The hotel is well appointed and maintained. Breakfast on the terrace was very good and breakfast staff excellent. Rooms clean and well presented
We arrived at 1.45 pm and had advised them prior to arrival we had to leave for a concert at 3pm and needed to change. Appreciate check in is a 3pm but room not ready till 3pm but if we paid £25 the room would be ready at 2pm ! We were in Clock Tower 2 and there is a skylight but no windows or aircon so room was very warm ( fans provided by too noisy to leave on all night) - under the skylight the carpet was wet ( dry by the morning) - no welcome pack so no idea what WiFi code was or how to phone reception. I base this feedback on the room price - policy is policy but being helpful does encourage people to return
We had the most wonderful little stay after a wedding. Room was so comfy and elegantly decorated. The whole building was beautiful. We loved the spa and it was also decorated really aesthetically. The best point through was the breakfast staff. The chef and the lady who welcomes you were incredible and an asset to the company. Friendly, attentive and really made my day. Breakfast selection was amazing and so tasty. Really set us up for the day! We can't wait to stay again soon. Both ladies were so lovely and made us feel so welcome. Breakfast in the garden felt like a right treat. Thanks so much for a beautiful stay.
We did find that the £25 ( for an hour!) additional cost to use the small outdoor pool was a bit steep. As lovely as it is it does not warrant £25 for this and a cocktail/prosecco unfortunately.
The room was also unbearably hot but it was a heatwave and they had provided fans, maybe closing the curtains on specially hot days may help to keep the room cooler?
Beautifully decorated
No full length mirror in the room. Not enough plug sockets, no air conditioning, not enough tea bags, too strict on the times for residents to use the pool and the jacuzzi area should be free for residents.
Having never been to Laneley Hall it was a very pleasant surprise from the moment we arrived it was like entering a secret garden with wonders to behold inside and out. From reception staff extremely tasteful deco spotlessly clean. A zen spa to relax and the best of all dining experience we have experienced in quite sometime. Well done Terry & Team a credit. And thank you for the personal touch of a Birthday treat and card 💕
No fault of the Hall weather exceptionally hot!
And although fans provided in room and we prepared with bringing our own fans also. Air con would have been much appreciated. Maybe something to consider for future.
Large room. Enjoyed pool. Ambient music. Good range of places to sit / drink / eat. Staff mostly very friendly and obliging. Hotel is very good for the price paid. Would come again.
There are little details that need attention. Inaccessible sockets in room. Chunk out of dressing table. Waitress not well trained. Food is good but lacks flair / refinement. Tried to charge he for breakfasts we didn’t have - check your charges carefully!
