Bonnie-Rae, our server was attentive and friendly! She ensured we had the best experience at the Blok restaurant, which was fantastic! We had the Porterhouse with a variety of sides, and the apple crumble was divine!
Property was lovely and clean
Payed for a deluxe room only to be put into the only wheelchair accessible room which was not required, the wet room was a major let down as this was not communicated at all. Felt as if I was in a hospital room. Not as advertised on the website.
Visited the spa today with three friends to celebrate a birthday. The building itself is beautiful and is the star of the show. We arrived early for our Spa day and ordered coffee while we waited , the young man behind the bar suggested we have tea instead as we wouldn’t have time for him to make the coffee and for us to drink them. This is what customer service is all about ,he thought about our needs before we did.
Ww were collected from the bar by the spa receptionist who was delightful and showed us the changing area and where everything was. Our treatments were very good and very professional. The spa area itself is amazing and as the times are staggered you are the only people using the pool which is a refreshing change to other Spa’s where you are fighting for a recliner. No children are allowed in until after 6 and hotel guests have to pay to use the facilities this makes it a little oasis if calm.
The brunch was also delicious both buffet and menu selections with fruit juice ,tea and coffee included.
All the staff we encountered were polite and friendly.
Highly recommended and can’t wait to go back for an overnight stay.
The welcome we received as returning guests was a nice surprise
Bar food not available on a sunday
The hotel itself is stunning, the blok restaurant is outstanding. However it was very disappointing to learn that you have to pay to use the pool outside £25 each, I’ve never been to hotel where you pay additional fees to use the facilities. The two bar male staff that also served us on the Sunday night and Monday morning were also incredibly rude and stood out so much more due to the rest of the staff being so kind and accommodating. Also never been to a spa hotel where you cannot dine in the robes provided, interesting!!
Beautiful hotel but slightly spoiled by the rude bar men and added extras of the outstanding pool!
Celebrated my sisters 30th birthday here and we had a great time! Every member of staff were so helpful, polite and welcoming. The food was really good too, especially breakfast. The handwritten card and sweet treat left for my sister was a really nice touch. We can’t wait to come back!
Exceptional! A rare gem of a find.
Went to this hotel for one night to celebrate a wedding anniversary. The hotel was kind enough to upgrade our room. I can only describe the experience as extremely enjoyable, the staff were very polite and professional, I would definitely recommend this hotel.
We had a lovely night's stay at Lanelay. It was a Monday evening, so we got a great-priced room, and check-in was smooth. The pool great. Would be nice to have been able to use the jacuzzi free of charge as a paying guest- it was an additional £25 PP, which didn't seem worth it. The Bar food and drinks were delicious, and lovely evening atmosphere out on the terrace area. The room was massive and the bed very comfy, though a little dusty and I would have loved a bath. Overall, very enjoyable and one of the nicer spa hotels I've been to.
There was a big group of us celebrating and Jared and Ashley on the bar were absolutely amazing so accommodating and couldn’t have been more helpful. 10/10 for the staff tonight👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
We went for my mothers graduation and Jared and Ashley were amazing!! Their hospitality was brilliant! And they couldn’t do enough for us! Thank you both so much! Xx
Jared and Ashley were top marks in their service
Here to celebrate graduation, outstanding service from Jared and Ashley throughout the whole evening. We were a very large group and ordered lots of food and drinks
A wonderful venue with warm and welcoming staff that couldn't do enough for us. The room was clean and comfortable, the facilities were unique and inviting, and the food was excellent. A touch of local luxury with a surprisingly affordable price tag.
Excellent breakfast
Breakfast was good staff at breakfast Ellen and Kiara were super both definite assets. Room was unbearably hot, insufficient fans, small, cupboard for hanging clothes was too dark, could not do safe and the hanging pole was more than 6 ft high my wife could not hang clothes as she could not reach. Shower only ran hot they tried to fix but to no avail. Should have moved us. Otherwise room was well furnished. Dinner was excellent as was breakfast. I went to compliment chefs on duty
As stated the room was small, totally lack sufficient air con. Shower absolutely useless, some staff lacked customer skills. On Sunday one pair of customers continually swearing and people around could hear the F word often. Not necessary if you can speak English. Respect other people.
Well presented and tastefully decorated property.
No air con !! Paying the prices they charge I think it could be a good investment.
