Beautiful property, but the valet damaged my car and two staff gave me two different stories
Pros:

The property itself is genuinely beautiful. The lobby, common areas, and event spaces are clearly the result of real investment. Late check-in was smooth when we decided to stay after a dinner event nearby. The bed and room itself were comfortable and quiet.

Cons:

The basics are gouged — $6 for two water bottles in a $477/night room, no coffee pods (for sale downstairs), the coffee maker put away with no explanation.

Then the valet damaged my car overnight. The valet guy showed me a ticket at drop-off that had no damage marked. The valet manager said he'd call me back. After I notified my insurance, the valet guy called and claimed the car "was already like that." Then the manager texted me a separate ticket that supposedly documented the damage. Both tickets can't be true.

I'm not pursuing this for the money — my insurance covers it. I'm writing this because the water situation, the valet incident, and the dishonest follow-up aren't isolated. They're a pattern. The property is beautiful, but the management culture of nickel-and-diming guests and covering up mistakes is exactly what gives the industry a bad name.

I wanted to like this place. The bones are there. But the small-print gouging and the valet incident mean I won't be returning, and I can't recommend it for anyone who plans to use the valet.

Cons:

The thermostat was set at 70 but the room wasn’t very cool at bedtime. We turned it down to 68 and couldn’t tell a difference. Also, the front desk didn’t ask or explain how to leave the parking garage prior to our departure. Didn’t realize our room key was needed.
