The location was mint
I should have known as soon as I walked in the door that I should have booked another place but I was optimistic. Walking in through the door and immediately seeing water pouring through the front window, it was an omen of what was to come.
Tried using the lift but it would not work for us.
It was not clean. And lots of broken equipment & poor facility.
The shower holder was broken and therefore the shower head wouldn’t stand up on its own.
There were nails on the step that weren’t all the way in and we tripped multiple times. & made a hole in one of my socks.
The fan heater was arcing when you used it so we couldn’t use it. Was pretty cold.
The jug in the room didn’t work, couldn’t have a hot drink in the morning.
One of the power points didn’t work flat out.
It was very very dusty it was obvious the room hadn’t been dusted or vacuumed in a while. Caked up dust under the bed and on all the surfaces. Shower hadn’t been cleaned, grime everywhere.
I was even scared to sleep in the bed because I didn’t know if they had been changed or not.
Walls were badly patched and hadn’t been finished. Needed sanding and paint.
I don’t mind simple but I require clean& functional. It was not.
comfy bed; late night arrival access; in morning meet manager to complain that room did not match description on website and poor standards - he was helpful and arranged shift to another room and allowed pre inspection
first night: hair in shower and around toilet+ urine stains around toilet floor and poo stains in bow+ liquid stains on wall+ no window + air fan loud and running continuously +no bathroom mirror+ incomplete paint finish on walls; strong cooking smell on sheets/pillows and in the air; second night in new room= curtains do not block street light+ window could not close so pedestrian crossing outside window beeping every few minutes + TV would not work (lost wifi connect) + shower bracket broken
Great location!
You could hear everything from other rooms including plumbing. No one at reception in morning so couldn't store bags
Close to Courtney place
No lift, and too far from my room to the bathroom
Central location, easy access, big room, warm.
Walls are really thin, could hear 3 different persons alarm go off in the morning. Not sure how bad it would be in high season. Would need a proper maintanance: water damage on the ceiling, bedside lamps flickering, fridge not on stable surface.
Good location
nothing much
everything
Very bad service from reception to the room experience 0 out of 10 stars
Towels weren't replenished
No services given
Not enough bar soaps
Rubbish not taken out
Requested for towels and receptionist advised that it will be replenished on next day, however that wasn't done
Housekeeping staff entered the room without knocking on door
No parking in the premises
Parking is only avaliable in James Smith car park which roughly cost about $100 for 4 days
Receptionist staff behaviors are rude and arrogant not acceptable at all.
Overall rating for the place 0 out of 10 stars worst choice to book this hotel i don't recommend it to anyone to stay here . First time visiting wellington and such a bad experience with such a tacky hotel not impressed at all.
In the middle of town, can't be better than that. Easy rooms all spread out in little groups with all the amenities. Very helpful front desk staff and efficient cleaning staff.
Nothing, everything just fell into place.
Good location in central Wellington.
The rooms were very noisy with sound from the hallway and neighbouring rooms waking us up multiple times during the night. Several of the power points did not work. The cups in the cupboard had not been properly cleaned prior to our arrival. While at a quick glance the room looked clean, this was not the case. There was considerable dust on the floor and the shower floor had not been properly cleaned for a considerable period of time.
It was in walking distance to many local bars, cafes and stores.
It was a “share house” type of property. The bathroom was pretty small even for the price. It was noisy but considering it was school holidays, it was reasonable.
A last minute booking. Very cheap. Great quality for all-I-needed-for-the-night accommodation.
The rooms are located in secure ‘zones’ within the stalag-like interior of the old James Smith department store.
I was awoken at 3am by people talking in the lounge, who stayed talking for an hour. There was no couch or table and chairs to eat on. It was quite unbelievable and disappointing to not have anywhere to sit
No couch, no table and chairs, no respect for other room occupants, the sliding door blocked the shower door so you had to have it open, very poor design.
I like their security.
They are so unclean, and the materials of hotels like door, washroom are very shabby.
