Pros:

Location was great, right in the heart of the cbd

Cons:

The toilet seat was not attached properly, very disconnected and felt quite creepy. Would not recommend it if you're a single female staying alone.

Pros:

Practical locality in the city centre and affordable price

Cons:

The room without windows was quite gloomy. Moreover it was possible to hear almost any sound that echoed throughout the building. And there was a reconstruction at some part of the building that day... The staff was ok, but not extra nice or helpful. Nobody was at the reception during the whole morning so I couldn't store my bag there before check-in. And it was impossible to reach them on the phone number they showed at the reception - it was machine-answered only.

Pros:

The room itself was sweet as for the price, just a cheap stay for a night in town! Shower was clean.

Cons:

I suppose the corridors to the rooms were scary and smelly otherwise it was ok if you are on a budget. Again it was algood for the price, I can't really complain.

Cheap and central
Pros:

Cheap, central location

Cons:

Noisy ventilation fan.

Morning receptionist was either a bit thick or just rude. Checking out at 8.30 I was told if I wanted my bond back, I'd have to wait till the manager arrived at 9am. A phone call later and a room inspection I was allowed to leave with my bond. Absolutely ridiculous behaviour for the 21st century

Budget friendly, no frills convenient comfortable stay.
Pros:

Unique building that apparently is a converted department store.
The rooms are basic with an industrial look. Clean and everything worked. There was a shared kitchen with microwave and fridge, utensils, dishes. The after hours check-in was easy, clear instructions. The staff manager during the day was friendly and helpful. A major plus was the AirPort Express stop from the AP was in front. The return AP Express bus stop was across the street. Conveniently located by Cuba St, CBD and waterfront. Restaurants, cafes, grocery and convenience stores nearby. Budget friendly, no frills convenient comfortable stay.
