We had a great room (#20). I believe it’s the only room with a view. Large and well appointed.
The restaurant was mediocre to poor. The food coming out of the kitchen harkens back to the bad old days of British food when everything was bland, over-cooked, or poorly cooked. It’s too bad because the hotel itself is very nice … a little old but clean and almost charming.
Very friendly staff.
Clean and comfortable.
Good food
Lovely staff, excellent room and food.
Unfortunately the room we originally booked was not suitable as my husband has mobility difficulties.
It was only after I had paid that I received an email indicating that the room might not be suitable.
This should have been pointed out prior to payment.
Thanks to very helpful staff we were allocated a different room.
Luckily it was the last one available.
Very comfortable old style hotel with a charming interior.
Staff were friendly and the food was very good.
Comfortable bed.
The room was a little on the small side.
It took over five minutes for the shower to run hot.
Lovely hotel in a small coastal community. The flowers in the garden were beautiful. The food and drinks were tasty. Staff were so hard working, accommodating and friendly.

Location food and staff
Room very warm but it’s an old building not equipped for hot weather but the room was spotless and a beautiful size
This hotel was advertised as a boutique hotel, it was far from it. The room was extremely poor, I expected a 4 star hotel but the room facilities were old. There was a an old shower only with failing silicone. There was no real mirror above the wash hand basin. Just a small shaving mirror and a rusty hook beside the door. When we arrived the room was baking hot as it was in the attic and the blinds and curtains were open - so like a greenhouse! I paid quite a lot of money for this and expected a high standard.
The location. Friendly staff. Food excellent.

Breakfast excellent. Husband raved about kippers and my poached eggs perfectly cooked and hot.
Enjoyed a glass of very cold wine ( good wine list) in pretty garden. Parking very convenient and short walk into town.
Occasional noise from alley below bedroom window but did not occur very late.
