Pros:

I liked the room, the bathroom, the quiet.

Cons:

I thought breakfast was a bit underwhelming. Service was slow, only one member of staff appeared to be taking orders, fruit salad seemed to be just diced apple in fruit juice and there was no brown bread for toast on one morning. Ordering coffee/tea separately from cooked options seemed to make things slow. Staff could be more cheerful and friendly - and maybe more relaxed..

Breakfast excellent. Don't park under a tree. Pigeons have huge arses in Kirkcudbright!

Worth the visit and would recommend
Pros:

The hotel had great character and the facilities were excellent. The staff were always friendly and helpful, the evening menus always had something to choose from.

Tout était parfait ! L'accueil très chaleureux, la situation en ville, chambre très spacieuse, bien équipée, lit confortable,salle de bain très propre et fonctionnelle. Très bon petit déjeuner et possibilité de diner sur place le soir( belle carte )Je recommande !

Beautiful room in quaint, charming hotel
Pros:

We had a great room (#20). I believe it’s the only room with a view. Large and well appointed.

Cons:

The restaurant was mediocre to poor. The food coming out of the kitchen harkens back to the bad old days of British food when everything was bland, over-cooked, or poorly cooked. It’s too bad because the hotel itself is very nice … a little old but clean and almost charming.

Pros:

Lovely staff, excellent room and food.

Cons:

Unfortunately the room we originally booked was not suitable as my husband has mobility difficulties.
It was only after I had paid that I received an email indicating that the room might not be suitable.
This should have been pointed out prior to payment.
Thanks to very helpful staff we were allocated a different room.
Luckily it was the last one available.

Comfortable bed.

Cons:

The room was a little on the small side.
It took over five minutes for the shower to run hot.

Such a delightful stay visiting friends in the area.
Pros:

Lovely hotel in a small coastal community. The flowers in the garden were beautiful. The food and drinks were tasty. Staff were so hard working, accommodating and friendly.
