I'm indifferent about this hotel...
Pros:

Service was good and the hotel is comfortable and quiet, but it has no ambience and is nothing special. Canmore is a pleasant location and although a long way form the local tourist sites has a range of eateries and bars.

Great place to stay in Canmore
Pros:

Really friendly helpful staff, the heated pool and spa was great we ate at the restaurant which was fabulous. What we loved was the proximity to the town centre and easy driving to hikes and it wasn’t touristy like Banff

Cons:

Nothing we loved staying at the Malcolm

Parking garage flooded with sewage, inappropriate hotel response
Pros:

Initially, the hotel was great. Nice walkable location and close to Banff. However during my stay the parking garage (parkade) flooded with sewage. Guests had to wade through sewage to get their vehicles and track it in their vehicles. The smell was awful and could be smelled throughout the hotel. The hotel eventually closed the parkade and provided valet parking at a rented lot, but many guests had already had to face wading through sewage. The hotel offered a $75 compensation for the inconvenience, which was basically an insult. $75 didn't even cover the breakfast buffet for all of our room occupants.

The Stirling restaurant was excellent. The room housekeeping was excellent.

Expensive, but a lovely stay.
Pros:

Breakfast was okay. Food could have been hotter. The omelets were made fresh and hot. They were good! Location was good. Too much construction going on all around the property though!! Two new hotels right next door are being built. And at the pool, workers working right there. Noisy, back and forth, etc. The garage was flooded but we didn’t have a problem finding street parking. Emma at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. The housekeeping was wonderful. Our room was always freshened up.

Cons:

The price! Construction everywhere. I had a hard time figuring out the shower as well. I would have preferred a room on a higher floor for a better view, but it was still pretty of the mountains and garden area.

Très bel hôtel avec le confort attendu
Pros:

Canmore est une belle alternative à Banff
L’hôtel Malcom est extrêmement bien situé dans un environnement aquatique (rivière) dégageant beaucoup de charme
Très bon petit déjeuner, service efficace
Personnel d’accueil très sympathique
L’hôtel est à 7 minutes à pieds de l’artère principale de Canmore

Cons:

Le seul regret est les travaux voisin ( construction d’un hôtel)
Par contre aucune nuisance si ce n’est visuel
Il faut quant même mentionner que la nuisance est très faible

Pros:

Absolutely everything! I really had no idea how devine it would be when I booked it. What a delightful surprise!
Super comfortable room, great views, excellent location! Unsure there is a Hotel lift anywhere in the world with a better view?
