Without a doubt, Shangri-La Colombo is one of the best and most luxurious hotels I have ever stayed in. I would honestly give it 100 out of 10. From the moment you arrive, everything feels elegant, luxurious, and exceptionally well organized.
The hotel is huge, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean. The lobby is spacious, the atmosphere is relaxing, the scent throughout the hotel is wonderful, and every detail reflects true luxury. The furniture, lighting, cleanliness, and overall ambiance are simply perfect.
The staff made my stay even more memorable. Every single team member I interacted with was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help. I would especially like to thank Diluksha, Andrea, Arunadi, Ravindara, and Indu for their outstanding hospitality and kindness. They went above and beyond to assist me throughout my stay. I would also like to give special thanks to the receptionist manager (unfortunately, I didn’t get her name), who was extremely professional, patient, and supportive.
The location is another huge advantage. The hotel sits right by the ocean, and there are plenty of restaurants, activities, and attractions within walking distance. There’s no need to take a taxi to enjoy the surrounding area. The dining experience deserves special recognition. Every meal I had at the hotel was exceptional. The buffet was outstanding and exceeded my expectations in every way. Another feature I loved is that the hotel is directly connected to a shopping mall through an indoor walkway. You don’t even have to leave the hotel to access the mall, which offers a great selection of shops, restaurants, and everything you might need.
Honestly, I couldn’t find a single negative thing to say about this hotel. From the location and cleanliness to the facilities, the food, and the outstanding staff, everything exceeded my expectations. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Colombo.

Beautiful, humongous and connected to the mall - it had a great breakfast too
Right next to the beach so location was excellent. Amazing dining experience with good views. Rooms were spacious especially the bathroom.

We had a wonderful stay at Shangri-La Colombo. The hotel is beautifully maintained, with elegant interiors and excellent facilities. Our room was spotless, very comfortable, and equipped with high-quality amenities. The pool area was fantastic, and the spa was equally impressive, making it easy to relax and unwind during our stay. One of the standout features was the variety of restaurants within the hotel, all offering a sophisticated atmosphere and great dining experiences.
What we loved most was the direct walkway connecting the hotel to one of Colombo's best shopping malls, which made shopping, dining, and exploring incredibly convenient. The service throughout our stay was excellent, and everything felt luxurious and well thought out. Overall, Shangri-La Colombo exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and upscale stay in Colombo.
