Not what we would call a warm welcome
Bit rowdy outside our window at night
I booked this hotel for some artists travelling down from Wales. The staff were helpful and I was informed they had a comfortable stay.
The key system is rubbish as our son wen,t outside for a smoke at 5.30am and could not get back into the property until 7.30. The safe in our room did not work.

The food in the restaurant was exceptional and the rooms were amazing.
One staff member in particular was rude to my just married wife when checking in and we had to ask 4 times for jugs of water only for them to bring bottled water which we would have to pay for. We waited an hour and a half after our scheduled time to be seated at our table.

The room proportions are a bit small
Visited Scunthorpe to tour the steelworks by train and stayed here before. Good continental breakfast and a superb meal in the restaurant.

Nice looking building, close to a supermarket & town.
Had to hold the lift button the whole time you are in the lift, can’t use lift after certain times. Room had dark decor, window only opened a tiny bit, it was the hottest 2 days of the year, (fan provided was rubbish)I got no sleep, no air con in rooms.it was my son wedding, we couldn’t have our dog there so had to keep going to a relatives to check on her.for the amount I paid I thought there would of been a bigger more up to date tv.
Very clean, good condition (not run down)
The lights in reception, down the corridor to the stairs are on sensors, they need to come on a few seconds earlier. No air con!! Hottest weekend of the year and the fan provided was useless.
